I have tried new things lately that make me feel like an ass. But I am convinced NOW is the time to try new things. Branch out. Take risks. Today's Daily Art post features my donkey painting and a question about what YOU are doing in this ugly economy to expand your comfort zone...

Stillthinking

I am traveling more. I used to hem and haw about the money for travel and how it would be better to pay off debt and invest in my future. Well, all that hemming and hawing ended up with me all stressed out and vacationless.

Now, irresponsible as it may be, I have taken the stance, it will all work itself out somehow and started traveling and enjoying my unemployment.

I was just thinking.... so many folks are trying to find an audience for their tweets and blogs and stuff. Maybe because we would rather write than do? I include myself in this group. But in these desperate economic times, I am having to do scary new things more and tell stories less. It is hard, but it feels good! I made videos recently - I am shy and have a giant moon face, so this was scary! And now I am working on a neat book project I would not have tried before.

I can't say that I am doing much different in this economy. Only thing different really is that I am investing more aggressively then before as the stock market was down pretty low and I was taking advantage of it.

Oh yeah and nice ass
