WHOA!
I'm an Indonesian, I've been trying to hard to control my Honey Bear cat, and of course I'm using Bahasa Indonesia.
And it was useless ...
I now able to control my cat, and it can be done by speaking in English to it

I don't understand, did you adopt your cat from an English speaking household?
Most cats have very limited understanding anyway. They mostly respond to tone of voice. Some recognize their name and certain words if it's associated with reward. For example, my cat (by the way, most animals do not understand more than one or two syllables at a time: this is true for dogs and cats. Therefore, animals should have very simple names and any commands you teach them should be a single, simple word) knows her name, no, down, and good girl.
Maybe that is why your cat seems to react to English rather than Indonesian. Is Indonesian a very complex language? -
No, I adopt it from a regular Indonesian speaking family. That's why I feel it's strange too.
But that's what really happened ...
Well, Indonesian Language is not too complex I guess, when it come to short command words, like ...
sit = duduk
stop = berhenti
etc
Maybe my cat sense the tones better when I speak in English.
I feel that too ...
