One of my dreams is to be a cause for enhanced justice in our world. I believe that one way to achieve justice is to enable all Americans, regardless of income, employment status, life transition, etc. to have universal access to health care, and have that access assured regardless of condition. In addition, I believe that mental health services need to be included as coverage as well, as stress is a leading cause of illness and/or addictive behaviors.
I have gone into greater detail on my blog site www.birthingyourdream.com, and welcome your comments about how we might come to justice in a system where ordinary, hard-working individuals who faithfully pay into an insurance policy find themselves not covered for the very things that they paid for over years, and trusted that their funds would manifest the services they were assured/insured to get.
As far as the format of this system - be it single payer, government competition or "insurance coops", in my mind the most important thing is that everyone is covered and can access our health care system equally regardless of income, employment status, or life transition.
