Wow! Sorry to hear that and no, that's what bloggers do

A few weeks ago, I was sitting downstairs in my living room and it started raining on me. Turns out my son forgot to close the shower door before washing his hair and flooded the bathroom upstairs. Pricey, but priceless

Thanks guys...fortunately my landlord is nice, and he's going to get it cleaned up over the holidays.

In the meantime, our basement is now really gross. Hurray for random brownness...

yuk... Glad i live in the 4th floor. I do get scared one day the tub will fall through the floor and I end up in the lobby covered in Sheetrock and Mr Bubble.

      Sorry off topic.

I think you did good thinking of the blog/angle story ... despite your misfortune.

I used to live in my basement in my pre-teens .. and that happened to me .. the basement flooded. I was laughing all about it because all my comics were on the shelf and all my school homework was on the floor, and I got to sleep upstairs in the living room for about a month while they cleaned up the mess.

Great article and LOL it was you first thought, a true blogger - sharing day to day stuff with others, warts n all!

    Bon Courage to ya!

yes, i wish blogging was around 4 years ago when 4inches of sewage came through my toilet. I had a lot to say. It was gross, but they took 1/2 off my rent and changed my carpet. nasty

Sorry guys, no pics...i didn't have a camera at the time (I'm a writer, not a photographer!) Only my roomates/landlord, and they are on vacation/using them for insurance purposes.

But if I do get some, I'll put them up.

My apartment has been cleaned up, and my landlord is replacing the walls and basically redoing the basement, all over Christmas break! So, it should be clean by the time we get back in January. Hopefully.

I feel for you... I lived on a high rise apartment in San Francisco and my apartment was completely flooded.... the fire sprikler system broke and all the water for the building came crashing into my apartment! So, for those living in an apartment please keep in mind the fire sprinkler... NEVER SAW THAT COMING!

What you really need is to move out from this place, I wonder why people insist to live where it's flooding everyday, and then complain when they gets the Titanic effect

Anyways, the good thing is that you are OK

And yes, this is what you should blog about, so people learn from what happened to you, and deal with it!

oh! by the way I tried to comment on your blog, but for some reason I couldn't!
