my ex stole my password last night

he's a prick. he stole my pass last night, and i know he was on here. i'm so pissed. if i wrote to anyone on here last night after midnight or so "it wasn't me"

advice that should be common sense (and is obviously not to me): don't write down your passwords. Ever. And don't leave it in your computer desk.

  You're welcome. IMO keepass is the way to go. if he was on here then he's probably reading this.
  
  Also no matter how many times I tell members this they don't seem to get it. This is NOT a private place. Everything we say on this forum is available for viewing to anyone on the web. To post you need to be a member but reading doesn't require membership. We have more lurkers reading forum threads at any point in time than we have members discussing in them.

Dude, I am so sorry to hear that. My best friend went through the same thing except she did the 'hacking'. She found out he was cheating on her and so she deleted all his emails and then tried to close his account (but they were able to restore it later). I've got my stuff all sticky-noted on my computer, but then again, I lead a sad and lonely life. :-) Hang in there!!!

Agree with all of the above. Change password, manage password - and mace the prick the next time he comes over.

Sadly, I guess this means I should return the ALF costume you wanted me to wear for our "hot date" tonight...(only kidding - just trying to make you smile).

My ex did the same thing to me on a dating site, so I got back at him by emailing all his myspace friends and said I broke up with him because he was lousy in bed. Immature, I know, but he was too busy defending himself and didn't have time to spy on me anymore.
