My First Design. Hows it?

I have designed a website layout using photoshop. Please let me know hows it. This is my first design and I need to learn a lot of stuffs before I finally design professional websites.

My own opinion is that white text on a black background is difficult on the eyes. Otherwise, I think that the design is good enough - the key to success at this point is content.

It's difficult on my eyes as well - and very TOO MUCH ALL OVER at once.

I've got bad eyes - it's "pretty" enough - but it feels super busy and makes my eyes hurt to look at it too long.

I'm not a fan of the "SCROLL" as you go page. It makes it hard for me to keep focus on the product.

But - it is nice coloring and I like the BIG font on it.

You're doing GREAT for your very first design - and I can't wait to see more!

  Thanks WW for these comments. I understand the importance of color combination in a website design and will surely take care of it in my next design.
  
  And one more good news, i already got a client who wants that particular website design to be redesigned according to his instructions and the advance amount of $100 has been already made. We finalized the deal for $200. If i deliver the design to him within 2 days of time, he promised me with more such orders.

By the way - I do like Ipod site - very clean - very easy to see.

But it could have more color (since it is a tech site you chose wisely to keep it more "plain" - I'm a real fan of plain over bunches of stuff... )

  I did take care of the color combination issue and it will be delivered to my client by tomorrow. There was a small change in deal due to some obvious reason and we had to settle down to $150. well that's not bod for the first design, right?

It's nice. At first, I couldn't get the grey font colour, but I now I see that it's easy on the eyes. It's good, I like it. The hovering red butterfly gives life to the blog, does not make it appear so 2-dimensional.

  thanks for the comments about my blog template, but here I was talking about the new web design which I have designed by myself just for my learning purpose and then later on I got a client for the same design and will be selling the deign in few days after necessary modification.
