The comedian Sunda Croonquist is getting sued by her mother in law because of this standup act (video enclosed). Do you think that it's possible that the Mother in law is really not offended by the jokes but she secretly hates her daughter in law?

BTW: The title is true for me. My mother in law really does hate me! LOL!

That video is hilarious! I don't think the lady will actually sue her daughter in law. Maybe it is a publicity stunt.

I can relate to the hate by mother in law, well, not exactly in law but, my ex-boyfriend's mom hated me, badly!

I thought it was funny too that's why I posed the question. I think she's just being mean like LolitaV said.

I dont understand much sometimes the spoken language (because of the accent and noises) so i struggle with this and didnt get much jokes

Anyway to the topic for me its opposite - my mother "in law" (were not married (yet, haha)) loves me, but my mother hates my partner and its the worst thing ive ever experienced. She actually made me to make a choice - mother and my home or my love. Well the choice was obvious and i will probably never speak to my mum in peace...

That is not fair at all. No one should make you choose. I hope you two can work things out.

      Thank you loads

We asked my dad to stay for couple of nights until we could find somewhere to live because we were on street in the middle of the night after the "final fight"... Well we were pretty lucky we have found a nice sublet from some guy who went to china for couple of months and needed some people to take care of his fishies and plants. We didnt have to pay deposit (which we didnt have anyway) During next month we will have to move again... I am scared like s*it because at the same time i start uni... But problems exist to be solved and there is no other choice then to manage

Get with the program. Of course your mother in law hates you try not to take it personally and for goodness sake, do not forget, every boy loves his mother no matter how mad she may seem.

    Isn't this kinda like saying:

    "Water is wet"
    "Fire is hot"
    "The sun is bright"

I love my mother-in-law...and vice versa. My husband and I separated five years ago and I still enjoy spending time with her when I take my daughter to see her father's family.

Oddly, I've never had the slightest interest in marrying a woman.

And you probably don't want to call me "babe"...I'm reasonably stable.

My mother-in-law and I get along very well, but she has come to detest my sister-in-law. It certainly didn't start out that way, but I did come steal her son right out of her house.

My mother in law now loves me more than my mom sometimes. My last mother in law hated me and still hates me. I stole her son away from her. Go fig he was 21 when we married I didn not steal anything.

We married young too.... but I'm sure that's not the reason why... it's okay cause I love her for giving birth to my wonderful husband!

My mother-in-law disliked me at first because I'm a bum. But after a while she grew to like my free and easy ways.

I'm sure your not a bum lol!

My mother in law loves me so much but it's also a problem. She always wants to go with us when we go on a trip.
    1. LSKcrochet
That is too funny! Maybe you should plan your trips in secret!

As long as the mother-in-law doesn't mooch off you...

I have a wonderful mother-in-law! She is only 15 months older than I am, so we get along like friends, although am careful to show proper deference to her superior position in the family structure (I have married into another culture).

But she is really cool and recognizes that we both have the same thing in mind: loving and caring for her baby boy.
