ADVENTURES OF LADY LAURA
In the summer of 1814, Laura completes finishing school and journeys to Brighton, to spend a few weeks with her aunt, Lady Winter. Orphaned when only a small child, she has been lovingly cared for by her aunt, and her sometimes absent guardian, Lord Stanton, who has just returned from Jamaica. Together they will launch Laura into London society.
Adventure seems to find the lovely Laura, who is a bit courageous and oh, so curious. The day before their departure for London, a stranger visits Great Uncle Simon, entrusting to him a mysterious silver box. It carries with it a secret, which follows the party to London. Questionable things begin to happen. At first, they seem coincidental, but soon Lord Stanton realizes that someone wants the silver box back. Keeping the fortune hunters at bay, Laura safe, and revealing who is behind an attempted kidnapping and possible murder, embroils everyone in this tale of intrigue, with the social season in full swing.

theresa... i was just on my way to sleep...when i saw this... the adventures of lady laura is a most amazing work,, and you move thru it so fluidly,,, as if in fact you are lady laura... i love it and cannot wait for the newest installment to break!!!!
