My page rank is 0 But i have been getting 100's of visitors...find out how!!!

PR is about links in not visitors. Alexa tracks visitors for their system for instance. www.alexa.com
have you started blogging in the last 90 days? Google page rank isn't updated daily, Its updated on a three to four month cycle. So if you start around the beginning of that period you can have a good number of links and still no pagerank until the next update. -
It took four months before I got a pagerank--be patient. -

Yeah it usually takes a few months, depending on how many backlinks you have. -
PR is Google's way of measuring how important you are to the internet in terms of the number of good, high-quality links to your page.
I had a PR of 0 for about a year or two before Google found me. Then, it jumped up to a 3, and then 4. -
Blimey... I don't even *know* what a page rank is! I understand what it is but... where is it stored? Or is it just that thing that appeared next to my manage my blog and that says 53 or so? I don't even understand how I slipped from 46 to 53 to begin with, especially now that I rack up about 2000 visitors a week. -
My rank is still 0!
I have already 6000 hits! -
Do you mind if I ask what DIGG is? I'm an old guy new to blogging. -

@blogonsmog: Hard to know if you're being sarcastic, but digg.com is a website where you can submit your articles and be rated by your peers, which translates into more visitors for your site and hence more popularity.-

sriram, not everybody knows what digg, stumble, etc. are. I've been blogging for over six months, and while I hear the names I really don't know what they are. But thanks for the info about digg. -

Rahki, my Page Rank is bigger than yours (it's about 3 or 4) but I'm lucky if I get 20 visitors in a day:( So it doesn't seem like they're all that connected.
I'd rather have more visitors, btw, although I'm sure happy with the ones I've got(mostly).-
i get 15/20 visitors per day from GOOGLE
i get 150/200 visitors per day only from DIGG
and other sites send other visitors say facebook,reddit....

It's high time you start selling stuff on your site if you get high traffic.
PR does not show popularity of the site - @voodooKobra writes.
If you click on my site, www.childhoodspeech.com, you can see it first page.
See your site has a lot of names of popular artistes, so you can easily capture readers - and definitely a lot in your circle. Would you think of searching for "childhoodspeech" if I hadn't told you it exist? But you would with big names like Kapoor, Hilton etc (even whilst you are on digg.)
If you need to understand more, give me a shout.
p.s. Anything on the first page could be paid for.
I did not pay to be ranked. So that's something to think about.
Don;t question anymore, start selling. Cus everyone can whether you are PR0 or 100. -

Hits are not what you want to count. A hit is just when any file, such as a photo or flash file, or any graphics are accessed. That is called a "hit"
So if you had 5 graphics and 10 photos on a page, that would be counted as 15 hits just when a crawl bot landed on your page, not even a real person.
What counts is "unique visits" that is your true count.

Great URL! I don't even worry about visitors anymore... just amount of time spent on pages (not including the landinig page) and what they are most interested in reading.
By far, the most traffic my site generates comes from the phrase, "Titanic"...

My page rank is zero too, but I often get close to 200 vistors a day. So I don't give a damn. LOL! -
What I have learnt is that your PR has nothing to do with numbers visitors. My old blog of 4 months old on a BlogSpot platform had a PR of ONE but was only getting about 25 visitors a day which was not good.. so I recently changed it over to Wordpress here selfhelpwellness.com
There are different ways to which you could get ranked .. What has worked for me was leaving meanifull comments on people blogs.. -
That's great news rakhisabant! If I were you I would focus on getting visitors and keeping visitors. Page rank will come in time, but even when you get high page rank, you should still be focusing on obtaining and keeping visitors.

Pagerank doesn't matter if you have well SE optimized your blog. Just wait for few months and PageRank will Kiss you soon.
