My poor little puppy!

I never knew that toy breeds of dogs often don't shed their baby teeth when their permanent ones come in...and little Puddin' had to have dental surgery yesterday to remove five of them!
But she took some cute pictures...see them here: sweetvioletsa.blogspot.com/2009/06/my-poor-little-puppy.html

Good question. It's not considered a breed-specific genetic fault like liver shunt as it is apparently rather common in toy breeds. I used to have Peke that had one baby canine that didn't come out on its own. But my vet says it is quite common in Yorkies and half of these procedures he does are on that breed alone!

She is improving. Sneaked upstairs to the lounge when my back was turned and then ran around and around the sofa when I tried to pick her up and take her back downstairs...she is definitely on the mend.
Now if she would just eat some kibble and get her digestive tract moving again, I'd stop fretting!

I was at the vet today and this lady brought in (6) 1 month old Shitzu puppies. The entire waiting room just melted and spent at least 10 minutes oohing and aahing and passing puppies around.

Well, she's a hoot...a real girly girl. A few posts back on my blog is an entry about her and how she loves lace and dressing up...and a picture of her with her head buried in my makeup bag. She has several blankets but she prefers the crocheted shell-stitched one over the fleeces and positively loves the pink velour track suit my husband bought her a couple of weeks ago. My husband says if they made high heels for dogs, she would surely wear them!
She is a real character!
