Yah .. made you look .. But it's true!
In passing along a few URL's for PetLvr.com/blog/ to various StumbleUpon and Reddit users, I have discovered that at least for some people .. my site is being classified as PORN and being blocked by their server or firewall .. particularly in Brooklyn, N.Y. and London, U.K. business section.
I would really like to pinpoint where in the world (and why) my G-Rated Pet Related site is being classified as PORN and why my site is being blocked?!
SO ... I ASK YOU ...

... is my site blocked where you surf the internet?
... // If so .. what is blocking it? Your work server? your firewall? your ISP?

hi, i know that when someone "hits" your page in "stumble upon" for the first time, they have the option to say whether it contains adult material, which will then block the site to any other user who has not approved adult material.. if you can find your site on stumbleupon you can check and see, and maybe contact the person if it was wrongly classified, i think sometimes people say it is porn in an attempt at being funny, happened to a friend of mine.. hope the helps..

But - I how can tell? A lot of my posts and site is on SU .. how can I check and see specifically classified in this way?

This came up on the forum before and MadameX supplied a link that I don't have time to search for. I believe the aggrieved BC member's username was mantiz but I could be wrong about that. Since the concussion my memory hasn't been what it was before.

@PetLvr, i dont know sorry, i have tried finding out because i think also someone has stumbled my blog.. i think the only way might be to open a stumbleupon account yourself, install the toolbar, and then google your posts and site/s to see if it has reviews (and details) or the stumbleupon logo beside the results..
or if you understand what ^timethief said, that might be easier, i dont!-

Right...........I stumbled a lovely article the other day. I looked today and it said I had labelled it "porn"....
No, no, NO I didn't. My labels are all well thought out, I just did a thumbs up thingy....I know I did.
I have manually recategorised it today....but I am worried about SU???

I'm not really convinced that it is really a SU issue .. and I can't find hair or tails on anything about it.
So far the only BC'er I know that can't access my site is BennyG... and about 5 people I talk regularly on Skype that is in London UK - whenever I send them a SU request, they can't access my site.
I was thinking that it might have to do with the random HARTmarket.com products in my sidebars, which - some may come occassionally from my Lingerie shop. But, it's not porn (and yes I think I got off all the random Condom images)-
This is really a mystery. Since when is nice lingerie "porn"? I'm not into the latter but I admit that I'm addicted to wearing the former.

I can imagine how "pet lover" could be mistaken for porn...though only by somebody with a really filthy mind....-
Ahem ... you to guys are a caution tonight. FWIW I do like leather too but I would not purchase leather lingerie - silk, satin, stretch lace, but not leather.

I had no problem getting on through. As long as somebody is establishing this reputation for you, why not run some real porn and see what happens?-
well, I hope it's not a reputation But, the reality is that with as many sites that I have .. I can't risk stuff like that - that puts the others at risk. I'm a G-Rated guy~!
