So I've noticed that I'm getting less and less visitors and less and less comments on my blog manictastic.blogspot.com
Now I wonder what am I doing wrong?

Just because visitors have dropped it doesnt mean you have done anything wrong, my ranking goes between 30k and over 100k on alexa.
Each day, week, month can be different, just keep adding the good content and they will come.
Dont judge a blog by comments, ive seen some massive blogs with hardly any comments.-
if you like comments you might consider removing the no follow tag that blogger puts in your template. removing this tag would allow comments to be indexed by google, giving a bit of link love to each commenter. I am trying to figure out how to do this for my own blog, after reading a great post by clairec23 who unfortunately didn't mention exactly what the tag is that needs removing so I am still trying to figure out that detail

I was just about to say here it is rel='nofollow' but y'all beat me to it
I'd going to add that to my post, I just didn't think anyone would see it, thanks for pointing it out libdrone! -
Visitors and comments really do fluxuate for a variety of reasons, many nothing to do with our blogs.
For example, I had my highest traffic to-date during the summer. Once families started getting Back to School, there was a dip for about a week, and things have been up and down depending on holidays since.
Last year I had high traffic all through December because I think people's schedules were more relaxed.
If you have a general idea who your audience is, maybe consider what might be happening to their schedules right now. It might be something to do with that. -
You have 14 posts for the 2007 season
The concept for any website / forum / blog is fresh content
You have less than 2 posts per month.
A community like blog catalog will rise in the ratings because they have a member base that that feeds fresh content to their site all day long.
Lets say for 1 day, no one showed up and and posted anything, the ratings would drop. So, especially a blog, content has to be added with some sort of consistency. -
You could try featuring other popular blogs and post about them at your blog!
Feel free to post about ours and our regulars will head over to your blog as you post coments with us - this works for us and we average 15 comments per post..take a look and get amongst it!

I am a regular reader, really don't see any problem with your blog and was therefore surprised about the traffic part. You post good stories, consistently, once a week. (I know that writing such stories take some time and it would be difficult for you to post more frequent than this).

Can you give me some tips to increase the ranking and visitors to my seo contest site: www.seocontest2008india.com .How many methods i can use to increase the massive traffic and ranking withing one month(31st March)

trying to post daily can be a challenge at times (time, lack of things to write about), but i agree with all others that keeping it fresh is key. if i come across a site that hasn't been updated for weeks/months, i move off of it. one other suggestion.... keep stories short, to the point and add visuals wherever possible. the deserted part 1 story was pretty long (liked the size of the others better). hope that helps.

Honestly, you do NOT need to post EVERYDAY to get tons of visitors and comments to your site. Read this www.datmoney.com/2008/02/do-not-force-yourself-to-write-posts.html for an example... I know someone who only posts TWICE a week and gets over 100,000 pageviews a month.
But there are plenty of ways to get more visitors to your site. I can list it but it seems someone beat me to it. But let me know if you need help! -
Nice short stories. If you're still looking for methods to increase traffic, shoot me a message on my profile shout box! I run a blog review site:
www.ayasblogreview.com/
I do however kindly request that before I can do a review on any sites they first include either a text link to my site -or- place one of my custom widgets (located on the far right banner) onto their site.
Once it's confirmed I add the blog/site to a list for a review
All reviews consist of at least roughly 50 words and include a photo if available and a live link back to the site.
This coming July awards will be given out to the top blogs for their category type
Let me know!
(P.S.- As said above please contact me via shout box or I may not see it. Thanks!) -
