I recently watched 'Fracture' and loved it.

And PS: I hope you feel better soon.

      Seen it...awesome movie.

      *thanks, love*

    How about "All About Eve"?

Bette Davis at her best... Treachery... A great old film.
    1. lotusb
Seen it...and agreed it's an awesome movie.
    2. ThriftShopRomantic
Have you seen "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" That one's also a good'n.
    3. lotusb
Yep. My mother raised me on American Classics...Bette Davis, Olivia Dhaveland (sp?), ALL of the Hepburns....etc.
    4. ThriftShopRomantic
      Excellent!!! I love hearing that.

"All of the Hepburns"... That should be a title for something.
    5. lotusb
Lol..well theirs like 40-gazillion of them, no?

"Hook" with Robin Williams, or even "Mrs. Doubtfire." I love watching those movies because when I was a kid, I understood those movies completely different than what I do now. Great movies for all ages. They don't make movies like that anymore.
    1. lotusb
Awwwww....Mrs. Doubtfire was the shizzle!! AND it's on N-Flix...but unfortunately I was looking for something I hven't seen.

      Sorry...no crappy poem for you.
    2. trailofpen
      Ok... let me think...
    3. lotusb
Yep...that was my lack-luster gift in return for helping me ease the boredom.

Any particular genre that tickles your fancy?
    1. lotusb
      I'm a big indie freak... I love the off-beat.
    2. ThriftShopRomantic
Rushmore or maybe Death at a Funeral?
    3. lotusb
      Hmm...checking their Net Flix status....

.....neither are available on Instant Play.
    4. crpitt
The Last King of Scotland? Memoirs of a Geisha?
    5. lotusb
      Seen both (loved them)

    Sex and breakfast
    1. lotusb
Seen it....good flix...didn't like the ending tho. And the brown haird chick can't act.
    2. dbowles1017
I just picked the first indie movie that poped up on netflix ;p

What about scooby doo and the zombie island?
    3. ThriftShopRomantic
@Derek- Didn't like the ending and the brown haired chick kept losing her glasses.
  6. MadameX
My favorite movie that most people seem not to have seen is Guilty By Suspicion.
  7. faithsju243
    What about Idiocracy?

Or Harlmem Nights...not really an indie flick but ole skool Eddie Murphy makes me laugh I'm sorry.

    Did I win???
  8. Alcomum
    Kung Fu Panda

    Love it!
  9. trailofpen
How about "Valentino: The Last Emperor"
    1. Deray28
Loved it! I just watched it last weekend
    1. legbamel
Chocolat was so much better than I thought it'd be. I was sad to have waited until a few weeks ago to see it. I'll second that recommendation, if Ms. Lotus hasn't seen it.
    2. lotusb
I'll check and see if its on IP
  10. trailofpen
"Jonas Brothers: The Concert Experience" It has 3 white stars.
  11. SoftwareGal
Neither Bruno nor Year One. Both are idiotic jokers no-need-the-brain-while-watching movie.
  12. trailofpen
    "Point Blank" featuring Danny Trejo
  13. legbamel
As a fan of movies with long titles and bizarre plots, I'll recommend The Favor, the Watch, and the Very Big Fish but I doubt that it's available on the instant queue. Have you watched Red Dwarf? I know it's a TV show, but I also know that it's available and hysterical, just the thing to take your mind off your cramps.
    1. crpitt
Oh Red Dwarf, how I love it. They have got the nod for a new series.
  14. legbamel
For sheer, mindless idiocy you could try either of the Crank movies. The second one is actually funnier than the first, because it's so over-the-top and self-mocking. Neither one makes any sense, but who wants a plot without holes?
  15. exit2013
'American Beauty' with Kevin Spacy. My personal fav!
    1. lotusb
      seen it
  16. Deray28
The boy in the striped pijamas

I haven't seen it but it is highly recomended and available on instant play at netflix
    1. trailofpen
lol... you are doing the same thing I'm doing...I tend to enjoy the movies that have high white star ratings..
    2. Deray28
I tend to avoid movies that have less than 3 stars, I mean, thousands of people rating a movie with 2 or less, there most be a reason, jajajaja.
    3. trailofpen
Deray, maybe that's why most chicks hate watching movies with me, because I'm in it mostly for the laughs, the bad acting, the horrible special effects, and terrible plotlines. I'm a huge fan of recent Steven Segal movies where he seems to take the role of "The only man on earth who can save us" with his stiff wavy arm movement martial arts and his never changing all-black outfit.
    4. MadameX
That was a fantastic (though somewhat difficult) movie.
  17. Deray28
Now if you just want to be entertained I will recommend "Read or die", it is Japanese anime, a short series, 3 episodes. Also available on instant play. I found it sweet and very entertaining
  18. nothingprofound
"After the Wedding" or any Suzanne Bier film if you don't mind reading subtitles and watching something a trifle heavy.

"About a Boy" is charming, but you've probably seen it.
  19. bettieblogger
Have you seen "Little Miss Sunshine"? It's a sundance film .. the b/f & I watched it when it came out and really enjoyed it alot.
  20. faithsju243
Of course you can't go wrong with Juno or Memoirs of a Geisha (book was better).
  21. Chucklington
Of the films I've watched recently, Let The Right One In is a stand-out.
  22. SolReka
In Bruges, District 9 are good films worthy of watching.
  23. kdawg68
Nothing like a good 70's campy, cheesy, exploitation flick - check out "Switchblade Sisters."
  24. crazyTsu
Aw well you mght have already seen your movie, but I wnaa say 'pursuit of happyness'
  25. cookingasshole
    "What About Bob"
  26. siralmo
    what women want
  27. sjtavo
Realizing it's past the point of movie watching, but some of my all time fave's include Paper Moon, The Big Chill, Four Seasons (absolutely HILARIOUS), Sweet Liberty, Hot Stuff! (though I don't think you can get it anywhere)...
  28. Deray28
So lotus, what movie did you ended up watching?
  29. sydneylights
Don't know what you've decided on but there are some fabulous suggestions by almost everyone. As for me...

In the Land of Women Kristen Stewart is quite good -- again; as is Adam Brody; yet Olympia Dukakis steals the hearts as does Makenzie Vega!

    Hope you're feeling better, Cheers!

    jps
