Hi everyone
I'm still fairly new to blogging, and and with doing stuff on my blog
Someone mentioned to me that my blog page takes a while to load, and it could be a big turn off when people come to view it eeek! I guess it was good someone eventually told me then !!
When I load my page, the only part that seems slow to me, is the background image loading up (it's not a blogger one, but on a blogger template)
I did have heaps more widgets, music player, and other blog gadgets, but have since taken heaps of them off. I know I still have probably too many ;-)
I have been told just to keep one or two posts on my front page, to make it load faster, but because of how my side bar is, I'm not keep to do it that way..
If I have to eventually, I will change it.
If some of you could take a look at my blog for me, just to let me know about the speed it loads, I would be really grateful.
I'm not expecting for anyone leave me any comments, just take to take a look. And does it work in whatever browser you use?
You can click on my icon to get to my blog, since I'm not supposed to put up a link in here
Thanks
Jules

I clicked your link. It loaded in a new tab. By the time I could mouse over to the new tab everything but the background image had loaded and I was able to read the new post immediately. IMHO, you have no problem with slow loading. Oh, and I am using Firefox 3.0.7

Thank you for that libdrone !!:)
I am not too fussed about the background image taking a while to load, long as the rest is ok
Just that I was worried when someone told me about slow loading times being an issue and putting people off, and that I was almost sure he was referring to my blog.
Thank you once again. I appreciate your time

It was slow to load using Chrome in the first instance. On loading the page a second time it was much quicker because Chrome had cached the page.
Consider reducing the number of posts because first time visitors (without your blog in their browsers cache) might be put of by the loading time.
