New Facebook Account for Blog..not what?

I started a new facebook account for my blog and would like to start getting friends, but I do not want to go around asking people to befriend me. I have added several groups. Is there a good way to have people befriend me without spamming? Any suggestions?

    BC has 17 Facebook groups that you can join. Perhaps making friends in the groups here first is a good approach to take. Here's the main link to them www.blogcatalog.com/groups/tag/Facebook

    Also, for your blog you should have created a page, not an account. Accounts are for people, pages are for other entities.
