New Political Channels in Directory

If you write a political blog you may want to change it's place in the BC directory as we have added more categories, including the Green Party, Political Humor and Anarchists.

The BC team is busy building a political channel on BC that will feature a discussion area, highlight blog posts from different categories and a few other cool features that focus on Election '08.

By placing your blog in a more relevant category you are likely to obtain more exposure.

The new political channel should result in fewer political discussions here.

    Thanks for the additons.
    I would like to see two more categories added please.
    (1) blogging tips
    (2) blogging tools

    The only two choices I could make for my blog were Blogging and Blog Resources and that's not the best "fit" for my blog.

      @timethief Great Suggestions! I've added them under the Blogging directory. I didn't realize how many blogs are there. We probably need to add more categories to blogging.

    Groan ... I went to get the meta description and the edit time was, of course, running. I hurried back and then left a strong tag open up there and the edit time expired --- I'm sorry.

    Thanks for welcoming my suggestions.
    Thanks also for reducing the number of political posts on the General Discussion forum by introducing the new categories you refer to above.

    IMO as a Canadian, enduring six more months of American politics posted to the General Discussion forum is on par with going to the dentist for a root canal every day for 180 days in a row.

    I forget how the directory works. Do we only get one category or is more than one possible? I ask, because I blog politics sometimes, but my personal blog covers other stuff too.

      IMO this is an important announcement that we should all take note of. I'm bumping it in the hope that our political bloggers and others will actually get to read it before it's bumped off the front page by inane posts made by bored members.

      Gottcha - DUH - slow this morning - need a coffee I suppose.

      Ahhh ... I'm delighted to hear this is being done. There are very few spots on the front page of this forum. I think a very strong argument could be made for having a phpbb board where there are category sections for individual mini-forums. That way we could simply post to the relevant section and steer clear of others.
