Have you been blogging for less than a year? If so what is your best success story related to your blogging. If it hasn't happened yet, how would it play out?

Everyone has a different definition of success. And that definition may change over time. Depending on the discussion that follows, your blog could be featured on www.BloggingWithSuccess.net (BWS). BWS is a recently launched team blog aimed at new and developing bloggers who want to stay connected on the path to success.

If you're featured, then the blogging team will give you feedback on factors that could help you stay on that path. And by the way you'll get lots of spotlight and link luv [shameless blog promotion]!

I haven't had a lot of successes yet since my blog is only weeks old but I have had a few visits. I look at blogging like the stock market I am in it for the long haul and it will grow as time goes along.
    1. rmaxwell142
That's a good point. Blogging sure does have its up and downs!
    2. BPWebNews
Looking at your blog I can see you're (in)vested! You could measure your success by reaching just one person who hears your message, moves on with a new understanding and refers a friend. You have the email icon, so why not point it out to folks.

Since posting my comment I have had visits from England, India, Philippines, Serbia, Spain, Turkey, and several states in the United States.

      Here are some comments:

      "good site, will be back...."
      mike

"The site contents provokes my thinking. I hope others would benefit from your ideas too."
      Romeo

"Wow, what a great site! a site dedictated to men and their spirituality. I really enjoy this site. Especially the before you do anything pray that was emphasised on the front page. Great site and great market targeting christian men"
      C

"I enjoyed the articles in your blog. The site loaded fast and looks good. I look forward to reading more in the future."

On the first ever post on my blog, I received 8 comments from visitors, so that was extremely encouraging!

I see blogging success more as the ability to build a consistent readership, something that I'm struggling with right now.
    1. BPWebNews
History is a good niche --- other history buffs & bloggers are probably passing the word down the line when a new recruit joins the circle.
  3. CreativeJunkie
I've only been blogging about six months.

I think my greatest success so far is the feedback I'm getting in the comments. I don't have tons of traffic (I wish!) but the traffic I am getting seems to be good traffic, with readers who like my posts enough to comment on them. And when one of them says that he/she can't wait for my next post ... that feels just like winning the lottery to me!

And just like Inclark1950 ... I'm in it for the long haul so I hope to see my blog grow with time.
    1. blackzero85
It will grow, if you know the best way to make it grow. ^^b
    2. BPWebNews
I like your blog design - attractive and well laid out; lots of room for the post and great photos. You're doing something right to consistently have so many conmments!
    3. CreativeJunkie
      Thanks BPWebNews!

How about failure stories? Success stories are cliche'... hahaha...
Welcome to blog world... I'm also relatively new. Just started July...
    1. blackzero85
      hmmm

It's interesting.... maybe I'll write about it on BWS. Lemme talk with my friends first.
    2. BPWebNews
I don't think you'll have any failure problems based on your reader critiques. You have them hanging on your hyphens. I would suggest getting rid of the Blogger navigation bar. Maybe a contact form in case an agent finds your stories...
  5. BPWebNews
As one of the BWS contributors I'm not eligible for the 'link luv' but I'd like to share my success stories. The first was when a reader asked me to give a template tutorial for the difficult Blogger Table of Contents hack. She thanked me in a comment on the tutorial I published. She also talked about my post in a google help forum and I didn't know until I saw traffic in analytics! The second was when I was guest speaker on a popular (one very cool) and established Wordpress blog. The post about blogging motivations received lots of Stumble reviews and reader comments. It's great to feel 'someone is out there listening!"

above all mine blog was just 30 days old..:)
    1. BPWebNews
Very interesting! So which one was it [this is shameless blog promotion time]. I tried to use your About us and Contact Us --- had some problems. One went to orkut system. Lots of interesting technical topics and you have good following.

I have not yet make a major success in blogging, though 2 months back i study from blog master, now im only earning small dollars, traffic/visitors around 30-40 per day, Alexa rank 1,950,000.That's all. Thanks for this forum
    1. BPWebNews
Thanks for sharing your progress --- you seem to be on your way! Wise decision to study with people who have more experience and can give you some good advise or shortcuts. Your blog is full of interesting remedies and facts --- love the healthy green in your design. What tool do you use to track your visitors? I see you have a newsletter but don't require RSS signup?

Here is the link to my article about my first 50 days of blogging. You'll find it relevant and interesting.

    letusgrow.blogspot.com/2008/07/blogging-my-first-50-days.html
    1. BPWebNews
IbneAdam, great post. Your goals were realistic, good assessment for a new blogger. You even took the hard step of setting aside time to promote your site (grunt work) --- necessary since your definition of success includes people actually reading your posts. I'm interested in the 100 day followup. What is the url?
    2. IbneAdam
      Thanks for the encouraging remarks.

The "100 days of Blogging" post was planned but I was away so could not finalise and post it in time. There after, I thought it will be out of place.

So I am goint to post a "150 days review" by end of this month.
      Thanks again.

I am not sure what you define as blogging success. I've been blogging for almost a year; I wouldn't call it success though
    1. BPWebNews
You have over 14 blogs, that's an accomplishment and work! It's not what I call "success" but what you define for yourself. My guest post (onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2008/10/22/synergy-the-human-side-of-blogging/) talks about why people blog. Take a look and let us know your reasons. You may be successful already!
  10. blackzero85
    xD

    Don't be so modest...
    1. blackzero85
What did he say? Why did it get deleted?
  11. lnclark1950
Since coming to Blogcatalog I have been getting more traffic and comments.

I hope more and more men come and read my posts. My hope is that men will become more successful because of the posts and comments they read.
    1. blackzero85
Me too. ^^b BC has helped me alot, really alot.

I am not new to blogging but I would like to share my blogs.I hope you find something in my site that will contribute to your success.

    1. BPWebNews
You certainly are not new! We've probably all used your product. It's nice you have a "success stories" page --- more bloggers should try that as a record of milestones and motivators. Thanks.
  13. Friday13
I'm not new to blogging, but ...

    I came
    I saw
    I blogged about it
I brought upon the destruction of the Universe taking every human and non-human life with me into a vortex of eternal burnination where only sploggers thrive and anyone who dares write an honest post about their personal life is sentenced to a one-year marathon of Flavor of Love!

    Uh, yeah.
    1. BPWebNews
Visited your journal --- It's hard to tell how old it is (no archive - LOL.) I can see you have loyal readers. But maybe you can share an early success story or do you even worry about that as you bring about "destruction ?"

I am new blogger and I learn to be success blogger. I have some tutorials to be success blogger here:

Do you have a success story to share?
  15. cranelegs
i've been blogging since gore invented the internets and i live my success vicariously through anything paris hilton blogs.

yes, i am a pathetic man.
    1. BPWebNews
      Whatever makes you happy. LOL
  16. kerenfathi
I am pretty new - 3 months. I am very happy with the speed our blog grows. We multiply our readers every month.
The bounce rate is 50-60% . Time spent on the blog average 3 minutes. We had visitors from 69 countries.
I think you just do what you do because you love it and passionate about it and hope that people will appreciate it.
SEO knowledge helps as well though
    1. BPWebNews
Sounds great! I like the polldaddy where you feature questions from your community. Your audience is pretty well defined and you have a lot of resources that folks can turn to. I bet SEO knowledge does help! You need those organic searches and directories. Blog carnaval is a good two way promtion.
  17. jackpayne
    What success?
    1. BPWebNews
Hey, why not let us know what you question about your success and what is your goal?
  18. bloggernoob
made $25,000.00 during my year of blogging. www.bloggernoob.com/bloggernoob-a-year-of-making-money-online/14/

and got a lot of free stuff out of my blog. does that count at success or am i being too superficial?
    1. BPWebNews
Nothing superficial about money in my book! You say "I'm just a noob trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents." Seems like you made that goal! lol I guess the 9,000 BC friends didn't hurt. But I see from your very detailed post that it was hard work that 'paid off'. I like that you're upfront with cautions that this approach is definitely not for everyone. I sense even though you might not do it again, you're happy with your success. And it let's you spend the money to do other things you have on your "bucket list."
  19. jaynisha
I want to be success by this blog : mbaassignment.blogspot.com/
    1. BPWebNews
It's curious you see the blog about your MBA as the one that will mean 'successful blogging' - care to share more on why? Is this meant for you, (historical, motivational... etc) or will others read and comment? What about your SEO blog? and success stories there?
  20. aningeniousname
    I'm so successful I don't even use,sentences paragraphs,or>any:kind recognixgsble grammarxjejh@@$
    1. BPWebNews
and you have an ingenious name --- success in a nutshell!
  21. doug66
Your success in blogging is measured by your failures? I've heard this line in some forums-I think it's a false statement-There are no failures in telling your opinion which blogging is. The main key is are people interested in what you have to say. If it's not interesting why bother? Some people vent and blogging is a great way to vent. Whatever your blogging about, keep it simple and intriguing
    1. BPWebNews
I also find that term curious. I believe in learning from failure and mistakes. That can often lead to success.
