   I LOVE nicknames! My husband's nickname is Smooch Monkey, which I've now shortened to Smooch or Smoochie.

   Pookie, Puddin' Pie, Lambie Chop, Honey Bun, Schmooky, Punky or Punky-bear, and Baby. I've been informed that these are not their names and that calling my five-year-old Baby hurts his feelings, but it's a hard habit to break. We also have a family quirk that involves appending the word "pants" to someone's name, so the boys will come and tell me what "Daddy-pants" said about going out for iced cream, for instance.

      I always call my kids baby (ages 4 and 6)too. I also call my 6 yr old son Lila. His real name is Elijah. Strangers probably wonder why I'm calling a boy Lila, lol. I will have to get out of that habit.
