Came across this on the BBC website - Intel holding a 'no email day'. What do you think?

We'd have to email our thoughts in on the day...

Maybe a bcc TO THE bbc?

No email for a day... Yikes. I use my email at work as a sort of documentation of what I did on a certain day. It puts my words to clients in writing in case I need them for future reference.

I do believe I would be lost.

Makes you wonder how you managed on snail mail, faxes and telex, cant they say no spam for a day and for ever.

I don't know about no email for a day, but I can get a lot more work done if I only deal with it every hour or two. Dealing with it many times per hour breaks my train of thought and makes me about as intellectually sharp as if I'd had several drinks.

the phone is eVile. i'd much rather wait until i can finish a thought and check my email in my own time. and decide when to answer that email in my own time.

i say we have more "leave me alone and let me just get my work DONE" days instead.

      I second that, Ender!

I hate intrusive phone calls, and prefer email for the same reasons as you.
