I am so tired of seeing such an all out attempt
by Companies and now even Social Networks
for their Affiliates or Members to be so overly
clean and positive in the Community.

Nobody can dare say anything negative
not even in their blogs, post, discussions,
forums or networks.

What exactly does this do to you?

I will tell you exactly what it does.

It makes the work place boring and stagnant.

Removing all forms of negativity does just that.

Without negativity, people cannot build a better product and there is no room for advancement
in the work place or anywhere.

You have just destroyed the creative spirit in man.

Removing negativity will create FAKE AND BORING PEOPLE.

My garden constantly has weeds to pull
and when you are removing everything from the eye,
you cannot expect to see further issues that will raise itself in your view.

Without sight you cannot see potential problems
and will not have opportunity to create something better to improve the situation.

Most people do not know how to bend negativity
to their will. They are afraid to use it.

I have always used negative remarks as food for fuel. I have kept myself well nourished and in doing so
I have created better products and I built it better, faster, stronger. (Sixmilliondollarman)

Learning to use negativity to produce better outcomes is not easy and since both positive and negative
were created, we must learn to use them both for our benefit. Balance is key.

So I do have a problem when it is removed entirely from networks, blogs, discussions, free speech
and even in the home.

It is necessary to have it and without it,
You Can Expect To See Boring Everywhere.

My name is Jeunelle Foster and I approve this message.

    Isn't negative the new positive?
  2. Jeunelle
    It was never new
It's been around for millions of years.
Question is are you using it the right way?
  3. cayasm
People do seem to be over sensitive these days, and in the workplace it just seems easier not to say anything, and yes it is boring and negative.
  4. Jeunelle
cayasm you have a great eye.
Major reasons why we have outburst
or the wrong use of negativity
is when we don't have and outlet
to let the force or energy to move freely.
It will eventually malfunction and explode.
We see it when someone takes a gun
and goes on a shooting spree.
    Wrong use of negative energy.
It is the negative side of our lives that drives us to excell.
The positive tends to induce complacency and stagnation.
Read it and weep all you PMA's (Positive Mental Attitudes)
    1. cayasm
The thing is our outlets to speak or to express ourselves is being slowly eroded, so it implodes
  5. Jeunelle
Yes I totally agree with you cayasm
    Well said.
    1. BennyGreenberg
So - show me the positive use of your negative energy?

      Benny
  6. Jeunelle
You are too far away from me for that Benny
I require you to be closer, much closer.
    hahahaha
  7. JillSaxon
You can't be negative on your own blog?

    This is news to me.

Also for clarity's sake, in your opinion, how should one go about using "negativity"?
  8. TonyB
If you storm into a new community with a negative tone and accusatory manner you are asking for people to attack you. So please do not come crying when you find that you have some members are insulting you. You sometimes get what you ask for.

You want honest. Your blog looks like a spam factory. And the fact that you are consultant to another social network, combined with your combative attitude makes you look more like a troll than someone coming to be part of the BC community.
    1. Norski
      Thank you.
    2. timethief
      w00t! for TonyB
      You are right on.
      Thank you.
  9. MadameX
I think you misunderstand the meaning of "negativity". Productive acknowledgment of things that can be improved is not negativity. Open discussion is not negativity. Negativity comes from a defeatist, destructive position and isn't useful (or intended) for building or improving anything.
  10. Jeunelle
TonyB where the heck did this comment come from?
My blog may look like spam factory to you but then again I DIDN'T ASK.
And for the record who cares what you think IRRELEVANT.

JillSaxon that is a personal question you may have to ask the individual.
Each must decide how they are to use it.
Hopefully they will make the right choice.

    Norski you're welcome.

MadameX I agree with you totally and no I didn't misunderstand.

Please try to understand that most of my discussions will be controversial,
you all are feeding the flame and I love to be feed.
This comment box will get bigger
because you all can't just stay away and have to respond.

I am also learning all about you from your comments,
what better way to see what I am working with here,
    so keep them coming. DELICIOUS.
    1. MadameX
This one doesn't seem particularly controversial. It seems like a weak attempt to get a rise out of people who either don't care much what you have to say or aren't much affected because you didn't say it very well.

If you agree with me and you didn't misunderstand the meaning of negativity, then what you're saying here is that you think environments are boring unless they're destructive. That sounds like something a mental health professional should be addressing, not a blogging forum.
    2. TonyB
Being nasty and rude isn't controversial. The only thing it will do is alienate you from the community. Once alienated your response will be to attack the community and say they cannot handle controversial issues, when in fact what the community response will be to your nastiness.

Your blog is one big ad for affiliate programs. You disguise them very well. Your game here isn't that well disguised.
    3. clioandme
Yep. Not like we haven't seen it before.
    4. TonyB
hahahah we should start a thread, "the common denominator" or "can you spot the troll".
  11. Phoenix1962
You are one hundred percent correct and that is why you have to read my Blog. It is not a sugar coated account of what went on in the workplace when was there and what is still going on today in the office.

    1. MadameX
I haven't looked at your blog yet, but I can tell you that if you are considering a lawsuit you have made a horrible mistake by creating a blog about this issue, one that might ultimately be fatal to your case.
  12. clioandme
Tip-toeing around everyone's feelings all the time might be boring, but living life without showing any empathy for others wouldn't be worth living either.
  13. pointlessbanter
Please stop writing like you are posting a haiku
    1. clioandme
Seriously. I find myself just skimming because of it. And that's only because I'm feeling generous today.
  14. Jeunelle
MadameX I never said this discussion was controversial?

I never said that I think envirnoments are boring
unless they're destructive. Where the heck did you get that from?

I said I learning all about you all.

What seems week to you may not be week for some. Different stroke babe.

And yes I totally agree with you, or so you think.

I think environments are boring when people too busy
trying to please everyone else and what everyone else wants to hear you say.

What a boring world that would be if we all thought the same.

Phoenix1962 I am coming to visit your blog.

MadameX and for the record if you don't care what I have to say
why are you still here if I am trying to get a rise out of people via a week attempt?
You can't just stay away huh?
    1. MadameX
You said that environments were boring if negativity was kept out of them.

I said that constructive criticism and disagreement was not "negativity", that negativity was destructive.

You said that you agreed with me. Thus, you said that negativity was destructive, and that environments without negativity were boring.

If that's not what you meant, maybe you should think a little before you post. It's very clearly what you SAID, right there above for all to see.
  15. Phoenix1962
Actually, that is not true, in fact the lawsuit that are kept out of the public eye are dismissed on summary judgment or are settle for amounts that are insulting to the plaintiff. Read my Blog and you will understand what I am talking about.
    sexualharassment-alltruth.blogspot.com/

    1. MadameX
Phoenix, I don't have time to search them out now, but if you do a little bit of web searching you will find a number of recent lawsuits that have been lost or dismissed on the basis of what people have put on blogs in advance. Any decent lawyer will tell you immediately when you seek representation in a case like this that you should not discuss it with anyone because of the risk of things you said coming back to haunt you in the courtroom, and that's magnified a thousand times when you're putting it in writing for the whole world to see.

I will read your blog when I get the chance, but I won't accept your wildly overgeneral and largely inaccurate portrayal of what happens with other lawsuits, unless you have a couple of decades of legal practice and legal journalism experience I don't know about that gives you an authoritative perspective.
  16. Jeunelle
Phoenix1962 just curious what happened to the post on Bullying?
I clicked on the link but it didn't come up. Like the blog.
    1. Phoenix1962
Thank you and I will check to see if that is a dead link.
  17. MadameX
Ironically, this thread is pretty boring.
    1. TonyB
      hahahah that's really funny
  18. BennyGreenberg
We are all feeding her negative flames by being negative with her. Negative begets negative - so the opposite is true as well.

Jeunelle- You have the right to say and do anything you want to. And I will be one of the first to wave the flag in your defense to do so - I will also be one of the first to wave the flag of nonsense when it comes to your arguments. You can get a rise out of people with your hostile and poisonous comments - you will get a following with the very opposite approach!

    Benny
    1. MadameX
Benny, I'm curious as to who you think has "been negative with her". It doesn't seem to me that any of the responses here are particularly negative--it doesn't seem that anyone has any emotional investment here or any real irritation, even.
  19. Norski
    I'm curious:

Why are the BC members I see commenting on this thread here? MadameX particularly. TonyB's motive is fairly plain, considering his position.
    1. MadameX
      I can't resist a good logical flaw.
    2. Norski

In that case, you've hit a mother lode.
  20. Jeunelle
TONYB.... Please do alienate me from your community.

"response will be to attack the community and say they cannot handle controversial issues,
when in fact what the community response will be to your nastiness".

Wow and you know what my response would be...you must have Esp?

"Your blog is one big ad for affiliate programs. You disguise them very well".

Personally I didn't know I was disgusing anything on my Blog?

Further more this discussion is about negativity
so what does bringing my website into it have to do with my discussion?

I really think you are out to lunch.
You must like it here cause you keep coming back like Ex-boyfriend.

    Benny you're still here Wow.

    MadameX can't resist yourself huh?
    1. MadameX
"keep coming back" is sort of entertaining, too, in response to Tony. You're in his house, hon.
  21. Norski
I think that Jeunelle has a point.

Continued interest in this, and related, threads, can be interpreted as continued interest in the (ideas?) contained in them.

Jeunelle might be better served by being left with more time to work on her blog.
    1. timethief
      @norski
      ^^Agreed
  22. Jeunelle
Norski my blog will stay as it is and for record I like it the way it is.
MadameX I know why I am saying what I am saying.
However, I don't understand you though and that is fine with me.

PetLvr that is good to know and that I didn't know. Thank you.

Well folks this discussion has been locked.
I gotta go check out a few other blogs.
I had a good laugh. Thank you for your time.
    1. PetLvr
btw way .. if you click the [reply] button, your comment will be associated with the actual comment you are replying to - not, an open comment down the page. // You're welcome

I am glad I have impressed you (twice) Jeunelle.
