Thanks for the tip - I had already removed the nofollow thingy...but never considered leaving my comments using my name/URL. That's great advice!

I've also had nofollow disabled on mine I get a lot of spam, but the WordPress Akismet plugin takes care of it. I am noticing, though, genuine people leaving comments that seem like they were only left to get a link, but that's not too common. Most people still read the posts and leave good comments, or they're good at faking it, which is fine with me

I think i look at it this way - just like entrecard, some bloggers will randomly drop in yours without bothering with the blog. However, their actions will cause a chain reaction, which will bring genuinely interested people in my blog...oh, me, the over optimistic one!

I use tweaks, on my self hosted blogs, which allows follow for the author commenter's name but for no other links in the comment. My akismet and Bad Behavior catches most of he spam.

Well I go with Non-Follow or Do-Follow with blog comments and in posts they are all nofollow except internal links

Making your blog Do-Follow will encourage readers to leave comments and will also invite a lot of spammers so watch out before you make a choice !
