I came across this ad on Craigs List
I know there are some people here from the area that may want to pick up a few bucks so I figured I post this up. I wish I could do it, I'm just to old to work the scene any more.
Part of the post:
JezebelMusic.com is a Brooklyn-based music blog that provides reviews, news, and interviews that highlight the people who make our local music scenes interesting, as well as editorials and commentary on the music world at large.

Yeah, Wish I was up to it. I can't believe I am even saying that, you couldn't keep me away from clubs in the day. Hump day was a week end to me, Tues was the only day of rest cause that was the only day nothing was happening. Except sometimes we'd crash the Diplomat Hotel and hangout at the Christmas Bar. Good place for a Tuesday night, always Christmas lol.

I think we led very similar types of lives at one point. I was *the club* girl. Party, party, party. When I lived in NY, I would go out for the night no earlier than 11 p.m.--I was hitting my stride at 3:00 a.m. and heading to the after hours bars at 4:00.
Then I'd finally go home and crash about 8 in the morning, sleep most of the day, work for a few hours at night and then start it all over again.
I was doing a lot of coke in those days--breakfast of champions!
I have to say, though--I honestly have no desire to do that again. I go hear music sometimes but I am always in bed by 2 these days (and that's rare for me to stay out that late). My partying days are definitely over!

LOL, I'm lucky to make Letterman, I'm in by dinner time, I have no friends no more (by choice) My big night out is i sit on my deck with the crickets and I am very happy.
I was homeless most of my youth, so I am grateful to have a roof. I lived a life of a 90 year old, so it's time to relax and have no problem with it. That is why I am so glad for the internet. At least it gives me things to learn and to do.
I didn't do much coke till my latter 20's pills, dope and booze kept me moving right along thank you. Coke, knocked me out, like a dog opposite reaction. My friends would laugh, throw down a 8 ball and funnel it right down and take a nap. But, eat 5 Seconals, a 20 bag of dope and a pint of Johnny Red and I was all over the place.
Go figure.-
Coke was never my DOC--heroin was always my love. I did a lot of coke when I was living in NYC though--mostly to keep me awake so I could party all night.
My life is very tranquil today also--particularly when I am in Boston. We live outside of the city, on a quite secluded piece of land. I can skinny dip in my pool--it's that secluded. I partied too much when I was younger--I have zero desire to do that now. Like you, I stuffed a lot of living into the earlier part of my life.
