So .. it's already been 6 hours already since the election was announced .. where are the kooky headlines??
like...
* Finally A Majority Government With Stephen Harper!
* Does Harper put peanut butter ABOVE or BELOW the jam on his toasted bagels?
* Is Jack Layton Kidding? Why is he running?
* Finally A Minority Government with Stephane Dion
* Stephen .. Stephane .. Does it really matter anyway??
"Between now and Oct. 14, Canadians will choose a government to look out for their interests at a time of global economic trouble," Harper told reporters on Sunday after he triggered the vote.

Well .. at least our election will be over soon.
Although I should say that there is a really large pet related event planned for October 14th and I wonder if that puts a swing on things for us.

The Americans have taken the world's PR budget and spent it all on themselves. Heh.
This is a tough election for me - it'll be the first time I'm actually legal to vote and I really don't know who I can vote for. Every other election since I was about 10 I followed closely and knew who I wanted to vote for without a doubt.
Now, I feel like there isn't anyone running that I want to be running the country. -

We Canadians know how to elect our officials ... 90% of us will start on October 13th .. at the donut shop .. and take a consensus. We can do that, because I think like 13% of the public even votes anyway ..
Although, back in February .. 15% of Canadians would have given up their right to vote in our Canadian election if only they could vote in the USA election

@PetLvr
Elections Canada would have us believe that voter turnout tends to be ~65%

I like the way they do the Canadian election, whoever cuts down the most trees in four days wins. It's more civilsed that way and whatever happens the poor get fire wood.
