On to the Jews

So the Catholics have been baited to reveal their convictions and in some cases accused of not even being Christian.
Can this virtual Klan move onto the Jews or is that too taboo?

Did I miss something? A church structure or affiliation never makes one a Christian. The Christian faith is internal, not external, though faith certainly manifests itself in external ways.
Jesus was a Jew and His life was ransomed for Jews and Gentiles.-
Hi Global, my point here was that some people did come right out and claim Catholics were not Christians - that doesn’t matter and of course Catholics believe there way is best but they usually don't look down on others (that doesn’t matter either). My point isn’t a theological one, it’s a reminder that Catholicism has been attacked in America since its European founding’s and well there are three things the KKK doesn’t like and Catholics are one of them. Do you hate somebody for believing they are right? Especially when this conviction of faith comes out in defense? Hate, hate, hate, wear the badge, power to you– I’m not talking to you Global

@Kevin: Do you hate somebody for believing they are right?
No, I don't... Perhaps because I am not insecure if someone has a different belief than I do. I have friends of all faiths and belief systems. As you know, however, there are certainly those who dislike Christians, Catholics, and those of the Jewish faith... Such is rampant amongst certain Muslims and non-Muslims alike. I pity those who hate. May peace and love prevail.

Come on people wear those badges of hate - you show your pride, lets take it one step up. Power to hate, power to hate, power to hate

well Kate perhaps this rhetoric that's not so satirical - will demonstrate a different point of view and encourage sensitivity.
David Duke once said the KKK wasn’t about hating Black people it was about supporting the white people. You can attack something and make it seem innocent or even benevolent but that doesn’t change face. -
I gotta agree with pollybore, I guess my question to you is what do you think you are accomplishing here? except to perpetuate the same thinking, I don't think there is anything artistic in encouraging people who might have these racist tendencies to come out of the woodwork and spew their closemindedness...

It goes back to the David Duke thing. You can make it sound innocent but that doesnt make it innocent.
Look it's not that complicated - it's not subliminal. We had somebody say Catholics are not christians and we had somebody agree - that's not all. Hey - the KKK has been saying that for 130 years. So how is it wrong for me to ask people to be a little more sensitive. Hey, sometimes you got to show people...this is what the KKK has said and other hate groups. Perhaps when they see it in that context they'll be a little more willing. I don't see anybody jumping on the bandwagon here and picking up sticks. -
I have some wonderful Jewish friends. Out of curiosity I used to go to the synagogue in my teens to see what went on. No-one ever told me i was reading the book back to front. Hebrew reads from the last page to first. Some of the Kantors have incredible voices and are fascinating to listen to.
I think one of the tragedies of the church is the cutting back on Latin masses, they were so beautiful to hear in a big Cathedral.

When I'm motivated I'm going to start finding the hate post and reposting them right here into the Klan member verification files.

Who cares people are people. You treat me right I don't care what you are.But I would be careful talking about "certain" groups cause they have mechanisms that address that and it's not fun.

I didn't realise the Catholics were being accused of not being Christian. I think there are giant errors in the Catholic religion, but there definitely are Christian values expressed on a recgular basis in Catholisism. I guess from my perspective I would say that the Catholic doctrine gets in the way of Jesus and Christianity, it seems to stand between Jesus and His followers. That is where I see the error in Catholism. When I went to have my daughter Christenedd some years back, I had a very long talk with the priest and when it came down to it, I could NOT agree with everything that was being said. So I took her to another Christian church that had a more universal approach and didn't have the same obligations.
I wasn't aware that someone had baited the Catholics. In the other discussion, what troubled me was the idea that Catholics were superior to even other Christians 'to those that are given, much will be asked 'etc. , this in itself is nothing short of a Cult mentality. The idea of any Christian faith being superior to another is absurd, and disrespectful to other Christian groups. Jesus is my all time greatest hero and the role model for all Spirituality. If the Christians can't even embrace their Christian brothers of other demoniations, how could they ever accept Buddhists, Hindu's or any other faith...or taking it an extremes, beings from other planets.
I live in a region where there a lots of cults and there are people with a cult mentality in organised religions, they seem to divide more than unify. -
Okay, so for the Jews, they are the chosen ones according to the bible. What is interesting about being Jewish maybe more than any other religion is that you can be a cultural Jew or a religious Jew. Having gone to synagogue for some of my early education in NYC, you find that many Jews are culturally based on Israel and the traditions of the country but they don't practice the religion. They still call themselves Jewish.
So, do they go to heaven? According to the bible yes, but I think there must be some discussion about the Jews that don't believe in God. If God is the creator of heaven and they don't believe in him, they probably don't even believe in heaven. Do they still go? I don't even think they believe it?! -
Used to have a Jewish boyfriend. There is a stereotype that Jewish men know how to treat a woman and are all about equality of men and women. It was true in his case. I used to go to synagogue with him sometimes. I have studied many religions and what struck me is that islam seems to be closer to Christianity than Judaism, imho.
