Listen .. I really need a vacation! Honest!!

Please Help!

Anybody interested? I'll be featuring only Guest Writers July 28-August 8, 2008 .. and if you have a pet related story to tell .. you can shamelessly link to your own site too!

I'm looking for articles about 500 words or so .. but, let's face it - I'm desperate! I'll even take some YouTube videos of YOU and your pet doing stupid pet tricks! or, pictures of YOU at the zoo!

(if you are not in the pictures .. well, work on the 500 word angle :p)

Depending on the turnout - I eventually want to turn future Fridays as "Friday Guest Writer Day" at the blog .. so, anybody signing up can come in anytime and submit articles for review to be published on my blog.

I should also note, that next time I need to hire extra writers for paid positions .. I would be sourcing them first from my existing contributors!

500 words...seems like a lot. It seems doable though. As long as I can make it humorous, I'm in.

It doesn't have to be 500 words .. just pet related. And, if you add a picture or two it's worth a thousand words anyway!

If you sign up - just email me and let me know your username - I have to give you permission to write on wordpress, otherwise you are just a subscriber and unable to do anything.

I'm looking for articles that entertain, teach, or relate personal experiences - not give opportunities for monetization.

  well .. maybe a little more details and pictures of you and you cat out on a walk .. I think pet lovers would like that. Most cats are either house pets or, let loose to roam the neighborhood.
  
  I used to have a friend that had a pet tarantula and walked it as a pet up and down stairs on a shoelace, and out in the yard. It was quite funny! That was before digital cameras though, and I was keeping my distance .. in case it "got loose and charged for me!" ~ ah .. those wacky 70's

It is good to stay away from a tarantula. Regarding the article it will take sometime. Can I combine the last two posts and make a fresh one?

  all articles must be new. You can come in and write it anytime. When complete, you would designate it as "Pending Review" (click Submit For Review button) and then it would be up to me.
  
  I plan to spread out all guest articles received up to July 27th evenly among the two weeks I am away .. unless, there is more than 20 articles submitted, then I will pre-schedule articles to appear on future fridays.
  
  You have to register first, then let me know your username to give you permissions.

  After your first time logging in, I have a wordpress plugin that keeps a line on the top of the blog so you never have to login again - unless you log out of course.

Just a reminder that I am still looking for guest authors to post articles on PetLvr.com/blog/ starting Monday July 28th - for the next few weeks - while I am away on vacation.

This is not a "Sunday or else" deadline - you are welcome to sign up and write any time .. those articles not selected in the two weeks or submitted afterwards will be eligible for future "Friday Guestlies" series after my vacation is over.

PS: Although I have received a lot of enquiries, traffic et al .. not one person has signed up since I posted my "open call". If its because you hate to sign up to other people's blogs (someone told me that) - you can always send an article to review to my google mail account .. if that makes it easier for you. If you are not scared to sign up to my blog - just let me know your username via email or PM in here so I can give you permission to write stuff!

  Sure ... I'm always open for guest writers on any of my blogs ... besides the PetLvr blog.
  
  Generally, this post was to ease my workload during my 2008 holidays at the cottage. Although I will be doing the same this year, I now have permanent and part-time writers to fill the void. However, if you read info above, and register from www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/open-call-for-guest-writers-on-petlvr-blo... above link .. PM your username and I'll give you permission to write inside the blog. And, when you are finished you would "Save as Pending" and PM back to let me know.
