I've been blogging a few months now and I decided a few days ago to redo my site. I finished it a couple of days ago. Now I'm wondering if it looks okay to other people on different computers. I wanted the look to be oldish but very classy. Could someone please tell me what you think about it? Thank you.

Looks great on my laptop screen ! very neat and the theme/ colours suit it really well !
You have done very well, you even have quite a few followers considering you have only been blogging for a few months

I'm going to disagree with Jules66 there.

Cons:

The layout is all over the place; the background image is hideous; you've got images overlapping the sidebar; every colour clashes profusely; your theme has been ruined completely; it was just like staring at a badly designed MySpace page.

Pros:

There aren't any.

  What screen resolution are you guys using? I'm using 1280 x 720. This layout is a WordPress theme that was converted to Blogger. All I did was change the top background picture. Everything else is exactly the same.

  Actually Mr. Genius you are wrong. Mine is 1280x720. Yours 1024x768. Before you are rude to someone who is asking a question try to read all of the information.

#1 You are not speaking the truth. You visited my site with the 1024x768 resolution and did not return.

#2 I did not create this layout. The blogging site WordPress did. A very smart person at Blogger changed the code so it would work at Blogger.

#3 I do not mind different opinions. But, when a person is speaking in a rude manner ("The problem lies between the keyboard and chair") I will take offense.

#4 I came here for opinions and I do thank you for yours.

I personally love the background image you have, but I think it clashes with your Queen E picture. I would also recommend adding an "About Me" page and moving that text there, because it's very hard to read your about section in such a narrow column. I think the theme you have puts a log of emphasis on your sidebars and kind of de-emphasizes your content: the fonts on the sidebar are larger than your posts, and the sidebars are more colorful.
