I've been abhoring our Wildblue uber-slow internet connection for a long time & recently learned that AT&T is bringing their broadband to our area this coming August. Their website makes me seriously consider switching (of course...it's designed to,) but I'd rather get some other peoples' opinions before I make any formal decision. So if you've had or currently have this service, do you like it? What problems do you have (if any,) & how often? And & all comments are welcome & thanks in advance.

(FYI, cable--which I loved when I had it--is not available in our area. We're wayyyyyyyyyyy out in the country.)

I don't have it myself, but my parents do. They're not big internet users, but it's always up and running and it's pretty cheap.

Thanks for the input. It certainly sounds like a much better deal than I'm getting now & it's good to hear that it's dependable. Satellite is inherently not.

i'm currently using at&t, although i have the competition beating down my door with cheaper solutions and deals, i am really not considering changing. In the last 12 months, its been down twice for a total of about an hour.

Thanks! That's a significantly better track record than I've got with Wildblue, I assure you. I understand you don't have to sign a year or 2 year contract with AT&T, either...Is that true?
