I have a newer blog. It is not getting a lot of hits or interest. It is mostly tips on things I have learned: kitchen shortcuts, products I love, etc. Anyone willing to take a look and give me some feedback? Thanks.

I have never used Stumble. Can you tell me more about it? Does it have something to do with a toolbar you install?

New blogs are always tricky to get started. I think you are off to a great start so far. The only thing that I can suggest is perhaps double posting every day for maybe a week or so in order to fill up your site with a little bit more content. To actually get more people to check it out I suggest you try to find some sites with similar tips and leave comments on those sites. That will hopefully get you some links into the site.

I reccomend you get off blogspot and onto Wordpress. Having your own dot com means you own rather than rent.

I think you have a good start on your blog.

Have you considered setting up a new lens at Squidoo.com where you can talk about your blog, add some related books from Amazon.com, syndicate your RSS (Atom) feed, and generate links to your blog?

    Act on your dream!

I had never heard of Squidoo. Just checked it out. Looks really neat. I like the ability to donate to charity. Thanks for the tip!

I like the subject content. All I can suggest is to break free of the default template - blogger's scribe was one of my first choices too, but it's really gloomy and loads weird most of the time. Try jazzing it up with non-standard templates out there. You could play around with Neo, or look at what final sense has to offer [where I got my current one], and many many others.

Neo: hackosphere.blogspot.com/2006/12/now-available-neo-template.html [as I type this, something seems to be faulty with the site, hopefully it'll get fixed soon...]
    Final Sense: finalsense.com/services/blog_templates/index.htm

    Have fun!

Thank you for the template sources. I really didn't want a blogger template, but didn't know where else to look. Thanks for the new sources.

Thanks for all of the feedback. Some great ideas. BlogCatalog really is such a great, supportive friendly community. Everybody is so willing to help out others. I really love coming here.

There seems to be quite a lot of people in Blog Catalog that are interested your discussion topics. You just need to find them and join their communities. I am not so lucky, my topics on Sales and Globalization have a much lesser audience. Remember its not about people visiting once or twice but for them to visit regularly

      Alexar,

Thank you. I hope to eventually gain some regular readers. It still amazes me that people might actually be interested in what I have to say.

i love it kristin! just stumbled and reviewed it...also left you a comment on the meatloaf post...what a fabulous idea!
    1. kristin1724
Thank you! The meatloaf idea is one of my favorites, too. I use that tip often! I like making an extra one to have sandwich the next day: meatloaf, ketchup, toasted bread....mmmm...comfort food at its best!

I think many of us already stumbled you. Good blog.

I am with someone above. You'd better switch to WordPress for serious blogging. If you even decide to switch your blog to WordPress. It's very easy to import from Blogger to WordPress.

However, it will become difficult later, if you have tons post.

I saw two wordpress sites. Should I be looking at the .com or the .org site?

I like your blog. Simple and interesting.

I do think that it takes time but I also think you may be losing people before they have had the pleasure of reading your posts. You have great posts and great topics that appeal to a vast audience but if I just happened upon your BLOG, I may not realize how great it is.

I love the title but toy around with a tagline that describes the content. This will help you connect with people that need to read your posts. Maybe something like; Cooking, cleaning and living tips and tricks for a busy world". Not that sub heading exactly but in that direct style.

Another thing you can do to get them to stay and connect is categorize your posts. Kitchen Tips - Cleaning Tips - Ironing Tips etc. It will help people quickly get to things that interest them.

Your posts are great – I’m a fan. I'm going to get some wrinkle remover today

I like your tip blog. I've visited several times -- and left a comment once (so far). Be patient. It strikes me as the sort of blog that will eventually generate a lot of traffic from search, and a lot of those folks will likely become regular visitors.
