    I'll take readers.
    1. roentarre
      I will take readers too
    2. tinatina
Same hear. I only want interested readers because my site is not for everyone.
  2. devilnoangel
i assume readers is site traffic, because readers will increase your traffic isn't it ?
    1. Friday13
Readers are part of traffic, but not all traffic consists of readers. Most won't even stay for ten seconds.

i need page rank and traffic, and i hope google not kill my page rank when i moneteize my blog in paud review program.
    1. devilnoangel
can you describe or mention it about this paid review program ? is there any chances google will bother your site with paid review program ? sorry for my newbie question.

i see Friday13 (look like freddy krueger here). So what you want is an absolute reader, a reader who come to your site often. That's a nice answer. Thanks for your participation and i will reminded of your opinion.

I think google dislike blogs that earn money through paid review, paid review is need a page rank and taffic rank to get the job.

I want readers and that means "targeted traffic". I do not monetize my blogs so that means I'm looking for "organic traffic". I also want to improve my PageRank on my blogs as well. I don't see the two (traffic and PageRank) as being mutually exclusive.

many my friends have Page Rank 4/5 after a few months join the paid review program , so their page rank is 0

      @a15dotCom
Yes, that does happen. If you are blogging for money then PageRank can be a major issue. Once your site has a higher PR (4 or 5) then higher paying writing opportunities become available to you. However, if you write for services like ReviewMe, Text Link Ads, Smorty, and/or PayPerPost, etc. then it’s important to understand that Google doesn’t like paid links, so if you have them and if your site doesn’t indicate them with “nofollow” or, if you’re active on the Internet selling links on your site then your site's PR will suffer.

I'm new to blogging - Someone recently contacted me through my blog asking me to do a post on a product that he made - it is an adobe dreamweaver plugin

I was going to do it because it's very relevant to my blog, he's also said he would give me the software for free and allow me to give it to two of my readers.

I thought this was a good idea - I am starting to think maybe not..

Is this generally considered a nasty tactic to link to someone as a review? If I use nofollow I understand google won't index the page I point to.. but will they still think im a bad boy??

I'm starting to think this is a really bad idea

    @timethief.
yes, very true friend, and now I'm trying to improve the backlink to my blog. that does not take too quickly my blog PR. hehehhe....

PageRank and Traffic are totally different aspects so what's important for me is the reader who follow up with my blog; either by they comment or not.

PageRank can be improved by backlinks, traffic can be improved by many online sites but the important thing is the readers and that's the question.
  11. barryfromtexas
Traffic is way more important than page rank - however - if page rank is high you cannot help but get traffic.
    1. roentarre
I know blogs that are page rank 3 but receives less than 100 visits a month though...
    2. Friday13
Mine was PageRank 3 for a while, and it hardly got a visit.

Now, it's unranked, and some people are reading it!
    3. roentarre
      @Friday13

      I am reading your blog

It is funny about the page rank.
  12. JuliaGomes
I will prefer both. But site traffic should be in the 1st priority. And I have seen the comment of Friday13 where he said that "Most won't even stay for ten seconds.", but it's nothing but bounce rate problem. If the visitors will not get their desired quality information then it's bound to happen. If your site does have high traffic and if they will stay long in your site, navigate through several pages then without having any back links also you will get PR. Thank you.

OK i assume there is another option and it would be "Follower Readers".
As i'm doing this blogging stuff, i find out that really true that it's difficult to have a loyal readers, in the other "PageRank" and "Site Traffic" have many options to gain them.

That's why i'm asking "PageRank or Web Traffic" for this discussion title because for me it really hard to make a good content that make readers keep on follow us.

So any idea where i have to start to make a really good content, maybe you all have a tips and trick to share here.

Thanks for your participate, i'll wait for another reply from all of you.
    1. devilnoangel
thanks for providing some links to me, it probably will make some use.
  14. newbiesblogger
of course i will take reader, i don't care about my pagerank but page rage is important for your blog first impression
  15. skepto
Traffic is important especially "targeted" and "organic" traffic. Focus on your niche and provide valuable content to your readers so they'll keep coming back. I get more than 50% of my blog traffic from return visits, 20% from addicts and 30% from passersby. A vast majority of which comes from search engine referrals.
    1. timethief
      Agreed and well said.
  16. awieniaga
    I chose moreeeeee web traffic..
  17. wagerwitch
    I'd like BOTH... LOL!

    I'm greedy like that.
  18. codesucker
I would like traffic from people who are OCD about clicking every ad they see.
  19. prdps
I think page rank is important because its afterall the page rank that increases you page views or say traffic. For insatnce search engines will rank you higher ( ot only the case) if you have a higher page rank and so in a sense you are receiving more visitors with that page rank advantage.
And afterall that matters is good readers as many preferred above and ya that means a good traffic.
  20. RecycleCindy
PR or traffic? I think they do go hand-in-hand. If you write good content, you will get more traffic and more traffic does reflect in your PR and search engine results. It's kinda like a big wheel that keeps turning in a circle. It all keeps coming back around if you can keep that wheel turning with great posts.

I think this is completely wrong question.
