Topics: pagerank updates
I was waiting for someone else to ring the bell, but now it's the next day.
Check your pageranks as the Google Monster has bestowed us with an updated rank.
If you haven't yet been updated - don't fret, it takes a few days for them to finish.
If you're not sure how to check your PR, this is how I check - prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php

Higher numbers reflect higher or better PageRankings. Google ranks your site from 0 to 10 based in part on the PR of sites that link to yours. If you have backlinks from high PR sites then Google will rank your site higher in search engines results, and as your site gets more backlinks Google will see your site as one of increasing importance. This will be reflected in your blog’s PR. The more quality backlinks your site has the higher your Google page rank will be. Therefore improving your Google page rank is important.

I am visually challenged and can't read your blog (black background low contrast pink and red fonts) so I can't determine how old it is. If it's a new blog then the article below will be helpful when it comes to developing a blog strategy.
Google does not usually assign PageRank to a new website until after six (6) months. This is presumably to serve the purpose of giving new websites time to develop or disappear altogether.

Here's a link to a post that lays out in very simple and understandable way how PageRank is assigned and what you can do to improve it.

With regard to colors and making your site accessible to a wider audience here are some points to keep in mind:
- avoid using black backgrounds and low contrast fonts;
avoid using distracting patterned and/or bust image laden backgrounds;
choose colors knowing that they evoke emotions (some will encourage readers to relax and enjoy reading your posts and some will have the opposite effect.

The next Google PageRank update will take place approximately 3 months from now. As your blog has yet to achieve a PageRank let's assume it's in the Google sandbox. The advice in the article I linked to above called: Blog strategy: Google sandbox or trustbox? will be helpful for formulating a blog strategy and achieving a PageRank in the next update.

I had two blog improving its page rank from 2 to 3
Now all my blogs are either 3 or 4
A good effort even I had done no promotion in forums

I am back up to a three. I was a four before the great google moogly frowned upon the paid post stuff I did many moons ago and put me back to zero.

Hi Code Dog
I noticed some additional changes just a few minutes ago, a shuffling amongst some search terms. I think now that the major reindexing and merging of the mobile database has settled, there are some very positive changes. I've been too busy to check the last day or so but there's definitely a shift. I'm feeling very positive.

I haven't seen a PR change yet, but I did notice the last few days (and over last weekend) the Googlebot seemed to be indexing the heck out of one of my sites. Usually that bodes well.
So we shall see. -

Nothing new for me yet either. Even though I do not have any pay for post ads, Google dropped all my rankings to zero on my pages. Only my homepage has a PR which went from a 5 to a 3 about six months ago. It's hard to understand PR so I try and not worry too much about it. My search results remain high for many of my keywords in my niche and I am told this is one of the most important issues to concern ourselves with.

Thanks. I checked and was pleased with the PR5 for onecoolsite . I will be focusing on making some big changes in my personal development blog in the next 3 months, so I'll be eager to see how those changes work out in terms of PageRank in the next Google update.-

This comment ought to be read while "I get by with a little help from my friends" plays in the background. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmOtWyjs8iU
Almost 8 months ago I had an accident that resulted in a head injury, concussion, fractured cervical vertebrae, damaged optic nerve, and severe muscle tearing. The symptoms were awful and I was unable to research, write and publish as many articles as I had done in the past. I almost quit blogging entirely but my friends encouraged me to do the best I could and offered to help by becoming guest authors on my blogs.
In the last Google PageRank update onecoolsite which had a PageRank of 5 experienced a PageRank fall to 4. My personal blog thistimethisspace, which is my second priority blog, experienced a fall from PageRank 4 to PageRank 3 in the same timeframe and is currently at PageRank 3.
Since the last Google PageRank update I have been able to produce more content and guest authors have also helped me on both blogs. The result was that onecoolsite now has a PageRank of 5 again. However, thistimethisspace simply held it's own at PageRank 3.
Doctors tell me that I have approximately 10 more months of healing to take place. Some symptoms persist and some may never heal and these realities I must accept with grace. During this time I will do the best I can, and I will also rely on guest authors publishing posts on onecoolsite and on thistimethisspace as well.

Answering blogging questions on the BC forum has helped me retain my focus and even helped me gain back mastery of memory and manual skills that were impaired. So the whole BC community and particularly, the newbies asking blogging questions has helped me to heal. I am deeply grateful for all the support I have received, and for knowing the support I still require will be there for me while my brain and body heal.

Our blog tantra-sex.blogspot.com PR increased from 3 to 4.. Yepee!

I've been hanging out at a three for ages now, on both of my blogs, and that's still where they sit. Seeing as the grammar blog sees rather sporadic posts, I can understand why that one doesn't go up despite seeing its second blogiversary. I'm guessing that my music blog simply doesn't have the traffic or backlinks to warrant a four. I've also only been posting to it for nine months.
