Paul Newman vs Brad Pitt????

The old vs the new. Both great actors but I feel Brad Pitt is very underrated as an actor because of his great looks. Paul Newman has always had respect, he has made quality films that spanned five decades. However his resume might not be enough to beat a actor like Brad Pitt who is beloved by all. Brad Pitt might be guilty of taking less challenging roles in favor of the big box office blockbusters.   I don't know. In Legends of the Fall, Brad Pitt demonstrated his character's periods of insanity using one facial expression and by growing a beard.

Brad Pitt is the better actor he plays crazy characters sometimes. Also is it just me or is he looking really really OLD. I think the marriage is sucking all the man juice out of him. What a shame...

LOVE Brad Pitt. I always compare Brad Pitt to Robert Redford, especially since Robert Redford gave Brad his first meaty role and they are both AWESOME humanitarians. They did a few movies together and well I love them both and think they are more of a comparison. Paul Newman is such a man's man. More of a stud-type. I am thinking, but I can not recall him ever even getting misty in a movie ~ let alone crying. I think Brad is the best male crier EVER! Nice topic!

newman is okay ... but i've never been really fond of him for some reason. much preferred redford over newman.

so ... i suppose i'll say brad pitt. his choice of films overall has been more interesting than newman's i think.
