Looking into the great inventor which Nicolas Tesla is, I heard about the Philadelphia Experiment. Tesla was in charge of the project, but resigned because he wasn't happy with its objectives.
Anyways, here is a summary of the story
It was the early hours of August 15th, 1943, the intense chill of the brisk morning air was bitter and humid, penetrating deeply into each one of us, further compounding the already heightened tensions that we were enduring at the moment. While the majority of the surrounding populous were tucked snugly underneath their warm blankets sleeping, I along with four other civilian scientists were watching many of the 176 sailors report to work on board the decks of the ship. To them, it was just another routine work day after having a well deserved night of liberty. We were on the USS Eldridge, a newly launched navy destroyer, with special authority from the U.S. Naval Department to conduct our assignments; a highly secretive scientific experiment....

Have any of you heard of this experiment? I have a hard time believing in this 4th dimension type stuff, but I do not exclude it either.
Is time travel possible? Would be interested in reading thoughts on the subject.

Ranist,
We are on the same wave lenght. The video shows witnesses to the experiment. Mind boggling stuff... -
I watched the video you cited.
I can say that Philadelphia Experiment has been exaggerated bcs of some unknowns or top secret issues. And i am sure that these Unknowns has nothing to do with invisibility or time travel experiments.
In the documentary, one can easly see that Robert Goerman is an ignorant in physics: Einstein's Unified Theory has nothing to do with Electromagnetic field at all and has some missing parts in the theory. So it's impossible to perform such an experiment.
The worst part is, in these rumors physicist seems like evil scientists or nerds. I wouldn't know if people still believe these kind of lies... or do you believe? -
Ophase,
Thanks for your input. My knowledge of physics is limited, so I cannot comment on what you said on Goerman. However, on the question of invisibility, this technology exists today, so I find it quite plausible that this was the premisse to modern day military technologies.

I saw the movie. Two guys went forward in time and went home to Santa Paula, Califonia (my parents' hometown). Very cool coincidence for me. Great movie, too! There is a sequel but I never saw it, will have to Netflix it.

BusyLizzy,
I did not see the movie. At this stage, I definitively believe it was an experiment on invisibility, have no idea about the rest. The History Channel piece in the OP is quite disturbing though.-
yes - they wanted to make the ship visually invisible, not just radar invisible. They got more than they expected. The ship traveled away in time and later came back at the end of the movie. It was gross. That's all I'll say just incase you rent the movie. Most of the story is about 2 sailors stuck in our present day, trying to figure out what to do. The changes in culture and technology give the guys a few challenges.
