Piercings after thirty?

So my boyfriend has a labret piercing and I have a load in my ears, and the other day he said he'd be taking it out after 30 because he'll have outgrown it. Can people outgrow piercings? I don't wanna take mine out! But will that make me childish?

Does it matter? And what happens at thirty? Do we all have to go on the Carousel like in "Logan's Run"? Because, if so, I totally missed my appointment.

Be who you are. Wear what you love. (Unless it's those gold lamé disco stretch pants... no one looks good in those.)

  If I had gold lamé disco stretch pants, I would wear them out in the neighborhood to walk my dogs. Then I would become "that lady" which is much more interesting than, "do I know her"

wel i dont know as m not that near to 30...but i think piercing looks more sexy after 30...one my ex had pierced in her belly and ears...she rlly looked hott..

First of all, I had to look up labret piercing so understand we have a huge age gap. My Mother who is 60 has 4 piercings in one ear and 5 in another ear. Some in what looks like to me very painful places. She eventually did not out grow hers.

There is no magical age for these kinds of things. Now employment opportunities, that is quite another subject.

i guess i w'd be enjoying more after 30...

i dont know y people think dat the lyf after 30 becomes slow and u starts restricting yourselves...just enjoy the time of your life...make each and every second count...30 is not the end..there are plenty of more years coming ur way...welcome them in happy way...not by restricting urslf...take life as it comes..

I guess it depends on the person. I plan on being who I am until I'm not anymore, regardless of what others might think. If your bf wants to take them out then that's up to him. If you don't want to then don't. I know PLENTY of people in their 30's with piercings, tattoos, mohawks, and whatevr else makes them happy people.
