Indian film makers will not take long to produce a film on the recent Mumbai attacks. I will watch if it is a ducumentary film. But not the usual Indianised dramatic and romatic scense added to it. Like dancing and singing around the trees.

Hi Indians are you with me?

Even if there is singing and dancing, isn't that a part of what keeps people going through the tough times? that sense of spirit and defiance?

I think with dancing singing etc, it will be somewhat bearable.

The documentary will be pure propaganda. lol.

It does'nt matter if a movie is made or not.
What matters is if the govt. takes some action against those responsible.

I don't mind using the theme as a backdrop and showing about a person's life who's trapped there... I think that'll be great.

Obviously i wouldn't want to see a movie based on how the terrorists did it or a movie that involves a battle between India and Pakistan.

Can there be a hindi movie without a song or dance?

Hindi Movie kills good singer like me (lol)
The same famous background singers will be singing in almost all the movies.

I hardly hear or see pro Indian Bands or solo singers getteing public attention or fame for longer time.

The only future Indian singers has is to get into bollywood movie industries.

      So sad.

Producer got all the money from the movie and the music. Face off for the singers and musicians

It's what the public or rather the majority want!

Even though the same singers are singing different songs over and over again, they're still doing well. And it's not like the newcomers are not getting a chance.

They are - but they just have to click!
With all the new TV shows based on music competitions, a lot of new singers are getting a chance to prove themselves.

      @dratiffarid

"a lot of new singers are getting a chance to prove themselves" But how far? a year of fame?

See most the music CDs and Cassettes it is branded under the Movie title not the singers.

Many people does not know who sang that song and s0

Actually people do keep track of the singers of movie songs. True, it's branded under the movie name but that cannot be helped. All the singers are credited anyway. Their names are on the audio CDs. I don't think we can expect any more.

Song albums don't do as well as movies just because they are not promoted well. When an Adnan Sami album or a Sonu Nigam album comes out, everyone rushes to buy it. That's because they are promoted really well.

Adnan Sami got his break into movies after his solo album.

The same way, the newcomers are awarded a music album of their own once they win the competition and it's up to them to prove themselves. I'm not sure who handles the publicizing part.
