For all of those who write poetry-

What is poetry for you?
Why do you write it?

For me poetry when I write it, is pretty much my soul. I write exactly what I feel at that moment. It´s me

I love to write. I just started less than a year ago so I am not great, but I love to express myself through my poems.

I do write poetry. But this is quite rare haha. What I write depends depends on my mood. My younger sister is more a poet ^_^! I write stories.

You write very good! Keep it up

I write poetry 24/7 in my head - it is the way I think...

    It is how I breathe...

It is the very essence of who and what I am.

I'm curious about posting poetry online. How do you protect it from plagarism?

well... u know i am not quite sure... i use creative commons on my blog.... its supposed to give you rights to your work... but I am not sure how well that all works out.

I dont know how to go about with copywriting.

eh...i just found out it does nothing... works with copyright

Do you at least have a 'poor man's copyright' on your work? That is done by simply making copies of everything, placing it in an envelope and sealing with clear packing tape--around all the edges-- and mailing it to yourself. Do not open it unless you have a claim against one of your pieces.. the sealed, postmarked envelope is the key to proof of ownership.

Might want to do two copies, keeping one out for reference/reworking and storing the other in a safe place.

i write whatever comes to mind, as soon as it comes to mind. It's not great structuring wize,
but it comes from the heart,
as it hasn't time to be filtered by my mind

Poetry is what's left of a poem when you remove all the words.

    Poetry is life.

    Poetry is the world.

Poetry is part of who I am.

Sometimes it's easier to express myself in poetry than in prose.

I'm not a poet, but I love to read it. I also love the symbolism,it means so much so differently

I always found it a non-starter, having to grope for rhyming words when much more meaningful ones will be prancing around in my head
  10. HollytheHousewife
    It doesn't have to rhyme
  11. crazyTsu
I always thot it had to .. anyhow prose is great and with much less restrictions

    Whateverrrr that means
