Poll: should i stop music autoplayer?

ive a music blog and i have add a LastFM player and is setup to start automaticaly when the surfer enter the page(ambient music)

should i toggle the autoplayer and let the surfer chose if he want music or not?

Then again,for a music blog, No.
I'm on the fence. Normally they annoy me but it is a music blog.

Yes.
Players, be it music or video, should be set to NOT auto play.
If the players site is slow loading or down, it causes your readers browser to stall, sometimes crash. Give your readers the option of listening or not.

Turn it off. Like everyone said it locks up the computer and it also makes it hard to sneak onto a site if you're at work Music is so personal, so I'd give readers a choice.

Yes. Let readers decide to turn it on. I hate it when I visit a blog or other website that has autoplay music. For one thing, I often have my own music playing in the background. For another thing, maybe I don't like the kind of music the blogger/webmaster likes.

I would have voted yes, had you not already made your decision. It's great to provide a link to the music and a way for visitors to listen, but you can't force them to like the same kind of music or to be in the mood for a particular song at the exact moment it pops up on your blog. You may alienate potential fans!

Absolutely stop the music!!! Add a button or make it clear the visitor has the option to START the music... but don't have it start automatically... very annoying.

Off off off, please?

It's one of the biggest no-no's in web development to have music on auto-play and it's the first thing that will make me click that red X as soon as I can if it happens to me.
