Porn Industry Gets 5B Bailout-Agree or Disagree?

What are your thoughts on the Porn industry getting a 5B dollar bailout on the back of the tax payers due to lack luster sales?

There is not going to be any terrible effect if some of the porn businesses go under. I am sure the people who lose their jobs will find new work. It's not like they are picky or have high standards!

I agree with this entirely, but let's move past that and analyze this:
People who agree with other bailouts won't agree with a porn industry bailout because of the social stigma around porn. As far as I'm concerned, the industry should be treated without bias. That'll never happen, though.
If they do get a bailout, the government needs to enforce stricter health standards to protect the... actors? -
Yes, I agree that the porn industry bailout is going to be met with more controversy than say, the auto industry bailout.
Politicians invariably respond to crises -- that in most cases they themselves created -- by spawning new government programs, laws and regulations. These, in turn, generate more havoc and poverty, which inspires the politicians to create more programs . . . and the downward spiral repeats itself until the productive sectors of the economy collapse under the collective weight of taxes and other burdens imposed in the name of fairness, equality and do-goodism.

Disagree. Not because of the nature of the industry, but I don't think any industry should be bailed out. That's MY money - if they want to bail anyone out - just give it back to ME. -
The porn industry is NOT getting a bail-out - it was nothing more than a proposal by two porn bosses (Lary Flynt and Joe Francis) to get some attention and media coverage. No government is ever going to bail out the porn industry. Do you really think the US government is going to fork out 5 billion dollar in taxpayers money to bail out some seedy underground industry? That would be the mother of all political suicides. Read reliable news sources before commenting.

Not sure but I do remember overhearing that the porn industry makes more than the other entertainment industries (movies, sports & tv) combined....I guess that means a whole lot of people are giving up the dinero.

Forget that. How about bailing out students who've been responsible but are still struggling to make it through school? Or how about bailing out those who lost their jobs, not corporations who over-charge and over-spend by CHOICE. -
I thought the porn industry makes money hand over fist!!!!!!!!!
