I'm categorizing this as a Shameless Blog Promotion - but I'm plugging somebody else's post. Mostly.

Your Company May Own Your Tweets, Pokes, and YouTube Videos ( www.web-strategist.com/blog/2009/10/28/your-company-may-own-your-tweets-pok... ) Web Strategy, by Jeremiah Owyang.

My take on this is in one of my blogs. ( withoutlosingmymind.blogspot.com/2009/10/employment-contracts-read-think-th... )

The matter of employee contracts that give your employer ownership of all content you create - Tweets, YouTube videos, blog posts, the works - whether you were 'on the clock' or not - doesn't affect me, personally (lucky me!).

But many people are probably affected by this.

Do you work under a contract? What does it say about intellectual property that you make? Do you know?

"Bump" - partly self-interest. Partly, because this looks like a real issue for some bloggers with 'day jobs.'
