Hello,
Does anybody on here know much about, or participate in Private Social Networking and/or Private Online Communities ?
I'm looking for a Free Private Social Networking and/or Private Online Community web site that has the following features :
a) Allows you to Create a Private Network for family and friends that IS Private and Invisible to the outside world ( i.e. visible ONLY to joined-members / members that I invite ).
b) Members join by Invitation-Only.
c) Has a ' Links List ' section where you can list your web-sites and places on the internet.
d) Might have a Residential Address and Telephone Number section.
e) The site preferably has a professional appearance and structure.
f) Maybe have standard common features of Social Networks including personal profiles, messaging features, maybe a news & announcement section, etc...
I already know about sites like Mutiply.com, Yahoo Groups, Yahoo-360, Linked-In, and a few other similar sites.
Any suggestions ?
List ALL the ones you know of or use, and I'll try to indicate whether I've browsed it or not.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
. . . Richard.

I've tinkered with ning.com ( not much in the way of web-page/URL listing ), and also tinkered with Bebo.com and Facebook too.
I'll have to take a brief look at KickApps though.
I'm looking for aomething of a cross-between Bebo, Yahoo-Groups and Multiply.com.
Any other suggestions ? Thanks...

I know WinkedAt, purely focussed on privacy. You can find it on www.winkedat.com.
