Problogger as a profession?

Do u think being a problogger can be consider a profession? I say being a problogger is a serious health risk if everybody rush for it. What say u?

I think Problogging is a profession. I mean there are people out there that make enough money to live from it. It's a difficult carrier path though and I don't advice anyone to quit their current job and decide all out of a sudden to become a pro blogger. It takes a lot of time to build up the traffic and revenue needed to become one.

I'm still a chemical engineer, I blog on my own hours, and whenever I can get a few minutes rest from the office. Other than that, I really don't feel it's a job, it's like being a kid online. You get to write and talk a lot, what could be better.
But problogging takes time and effort. If you aren't up to the task and you don't have passion for what you write about, then it can be "hellish"...
So do a little introspection first.. -
