Does anyone have a Myspace page devoted to their blog? I have a group on Facebook for my blog that brings me a good amount of traffic. I thought Myspace would be good traffic tool, but so far things have been progressing quite slowly.

MySpace is losing out big time to Facebook, Twitter and Bebo. Your results with MySpace are probably symptomatic to it's relative decline.

If polybore were you then would be considering publishing your data ie FaceBook traffic to blog vs MySpace. Its the sort of info people are looking for.

Polybore is not that sociable, and is really rather boring, so apart from the odd twitter will be leaving social networking well alone.

I find Twitter lends it self to blog promotions a lot easier than Myspace. I do have a Myspace account but have not really focused it on traffic generation.

My myspace is not at all for promotion. I have it more for fun and lots of fun *horns are appearing on head*
I do not even mention my blog on myspace. Now if you are looking for friends or a date I am sure that would be a lot easier then using it for promoting.

I promote my blog through Facebook and Twitter. I thought Myspace would be a good venue too, maybe not AS good, but I didn't think the results would be this dismal. I guess it is because they're falling behind. I haven't looked at Bebo at all.

my link won't even work on myspace. It says it's disabled or something. I am very irritated by that because it is only family and friends that I post my link for on myspace. So facebook is better for me...and twitter as well.

I notice that when I post on the myspace forums and post on videos I get more traffic coming to my blog. Unfortunately you can no longer have direct links though. So I just have to assume that the extra traffic is coming from my efforts on myspace.

I post a few of my blog entries in my mySpace blog. Than I have a link to my blog at the bottom of the blog entry. I'll do the same thing with bulletins. Those work out a lot too. Would recommend that.

Didn't Myspace die? I'm pretty sure I attended the funeral.

It's a matter of personal opinion, but MySpace is looking increasingly dated, I think. I forget which mega-corporation bought them, but it is certainly true, they've done little with it.

When I click onto a myspace page my immediate reaction is
"no no no no no no no no! back! stop! Please no!" and then the autoplay music starts and my browsers freezes for 10 minutes...

so myspace would be a really bad way to promote a blog to me...

I post half the entry there then add a more link that directs it to the blog.

Personally, I just can't bear My Space. A 20-something friend of mine convinced me to make a profile there, but I almost never log in and when I do I just find the site overwhelmingly sucky.

I don't do myspace but promoting my blog on facebook was the best decision I ever made. The results have been unbelievable.
