Check out the following post to read about us helping an old lady while at the same time nabbing a felon:

While on the way back to the station to book our suspect, it made me think. Should I--could I--put my parents in a nursing home when they get too old to care for themselves?
Clearly, the old woman's adult children were not keeping an eye on her, which led to her wandering about and getting lost in the rain. In a not-so-nice part of town.

I think that most people when asked this question, their first response would be” “Heck No, I would never do that”. Though its kind of one of those things that some people sometimes have no choice in the matter as they might find out its much harder then ever imagined to care for an elderly parent, no matter how much you love them.
I personally don’t think I could ever do that, then again, when and if that time comes, I also imagine most feel like you are dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t.
I'm sure it must be a very hard thing to deal with.
Perhaps a great topic for a Bloggers Unite writers event. -
I can't imagine myself 'depositing' my parents (or anyone old related to me) in a home for elderly people. They nurtured me and everything, made me the person I am now and I pay them back by depositing them in nursing homes? I would much rather spend time with them as they're not gonna last too long.
But AngieA is right.
