It was a good experience. You can also find free audio versions online. Here's one..

Reading for as long as I possibly can - until my eyesight goes - and then --- I will take advantage of the audios.
I prefer my mind's imagination to the sound of someone else's voice.

I have always been a slow reader but I do both.
I read the Bible, books on motivation, inspiring stores, books on humor, some poetry and history.
I use to drive a lot so I listened but now I read more than I listen.
When I find a book that really grabs me I read it faster than a book that doesn't. -
I love to read, but certain authors I prefer the audiobook.
I love Jon Krakauer audiobooks and David Sedaris on audio. -
I would rather read since it improves your brainpower
I used to hate to read in school, but now i look forward to it
And i can actually spell better now because of it LOL -
I get too impatient with audio books - I read really quickly and find out what happens a lot faster if I read.

It all goes to whether you are an auditory learners or visual learners. Thus audio books or hardcopy books is a question that suits your learning style. Both are equally good in my opinion as they triggrs the senses we have. More exposure the better.

Both. I read a lot, but love audiobooks in the car during my commute. It keeps my mind off the frustrations of traffic.
I also put a few audiobooks on my iPod, so I can listen to them before I go to bed. Really helps me wind down.
I love P.G. Wodehouse on audiobook. I also have Harry Potter, a Terry Pratchett, and a few Martha Grimes novels I found inexpensively.
