Reality TV

I was fascinated to see the other day my kids parked in front of their computer watching video after video on YouTube of old Candid Camera stories.

I told them long ago, "Reality" TV shows are not "reality" at all. We never watch them, and watch very little TV. If a camera is on a person, their behavior changes, so the "reality" shows are bogus. However, a show like Candid Camera or where there's a hidden camera shows true human behavior.

Agree? Disagree?

    It isn't simply the fact that a camera is on someone that makes people behave differently on "reality" TV. They're heavily scripted and then edited to create the impression the producers want, whether it's accurate or not.
