Please don't worry about face painting for Halloween or any other time of the year! It remains the safest way to do up your face for the holiday, with none of the dangers of a mask. In addition to my blog posts on the subject, there's an official response from the Chief Scientist of the Personal Care Products Council at: www.personalcarecouncil.org/Template.cfm?Section=News_Room&template=/Conten...

Please help to spread the word!

An activist group has produced an article that's been posted on a lot of news sites (MSN, for instance) and has been cited on various news stations (NBC) and radio stations. It was referenced and linked here in one of the Halloween discussions.

As a face painter, I've been in contact with several of the professional face paint companies regarding this, and keeping up with replies from them and other organizations, blogging about it to keep people informed. A lot of face painters across the US have been hearing about it from their clients, so it is a concern to the profession.

Face Painter, were you the one that gave David Puddy lessons in his pre-Devils game face painting ritual?

LOL, no, but I like the job "he" (read: show's makeup artists) did!
