Relationship Status : It's Complicated!

It was 3 years ago when I started to notice Friendster’s trademark status category “it’s complicated”. I was amused and amazed at the same time to learn that such has been recognized universally perhaps and already accepted to describe ones relationship when one could not determine and caught between being single and being in a relationship...
I long for the days when it was easy to define one’s life. If you are not with somebody, automatically you’re single. If you’re with someone, you’re either in a relationship of married...

Yes, my friends and family laugh when we see facebook status with the caption...'complicated', aren't most relationships complicated?
Does complicated mean, the person you are in a relationship with doesn't know that you are in a relationship with YOU? or maybe its complicated because the person you are in a relationship with is married?
We often wonder about what complicated would mean-

OMG, I was just saying this a few days ago. "I don't belong in this time period".
I think that "It's complicated" status is very strange. Even when I qualified for that one, I just told people I was married.-
Yeah very strange but I guess maybe it's for those who are emotionally unstable? I see facebook status change from time to time, and I was thinking "Ahhhh, lovers quarel."
But there are more other relationship status out there hahaha... it's all there in my blog (shameless promotion) lol but it's out there and it feels weird!

I don't think it's mysterious at all. If I ask a woman if she is single and she says it's complicated, I just figure she is married but trying to get some strange so I leave her alone.
Either you are single or not. I'm all about gray areas, this aint one of them. -

I'm sure men use this line more than women
Women just say, "Married but not happy" if they are looking to stray. -
I'm just taken...no complication, and I'm fortunate. We have had our troubles, but I've never wanted to stray. I like familiar, and frankly, I worked hard to get the She-Wolf. I don't have the energy to complicate my life anymore. I did my fair share of that when I was younger.
No more complicated. Now its time to build myself a castle and love the life I have. -

It might be complicated because you are in a inter species relationship and those are hard to get out of. Because your partner not only relies on you for companionship and non judgmental love but also regular feeding and walkies.-
