This awesome horror classic never really took off in my country because it was banned and all that. Fortunately, I could get hold of it now.

    so I 'd still prefer the one that started it all in 1968? I'd heard this one's a bit gory.

      Night of the living dead? Yes, the franchise split into two. Romero did the ยด..of the dead' series. John Russo, his co-writer for NOTLD, did the '.. of the living dead' series. Romero's films stick to the zombies as metaphor for complacent masses. Russo's work just has fun with zombies and gore.
