From Blind Faith through to The Raconteurs, the band format commonly known as the Supergroup has consistently reared it's head in popular music with alarming regularity and varying success!

The supergroup concept has lead to my friends and I indulging in answering the following question on a regular basis...

Given carte-blanche to include whomever you would like, what would your supergroup line-up look like and what would be the groups name?

Do the people have to be alive, or can we include deceased mega-musicians?

    The SuperGroup?

David Bowie, Tori Amos, Jeff Buckley on vocals and lyrics

Neil Peart and Phil Collins on Percussion

Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Satriani, Keith Richards, Slash and Carlos Santana on Guitars.

Back up vocals - The Wailers

Geddy Lee, Herbie Hancock and Mozart on Pianos/Keyboards

Roger Waters, Nikki Six, Flea and Chris Squire on Bass.

Now - take away all their NEED TO BE IN THE STARLIGHT...

And make them all work together...

    And WOW!

awesome... I was just about to type in pretty much the same musicians..

Basically, Queen + Led Zeppelin + Tony Iommi.. kind of like that Freddie Mercury tribute concert with Jimmy Page and Freddie thrown in
