I just learned that Pink Floyd's Richard Wright has passed on;

Yes it's really sad. I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, we even painted a mural dedicated to them when i was at school. Fantastic band.

Oh, Rick Wright...I thought you were talking about Richard Wright the author, who died a long time ago.

That's a shame. I hadn't realized he had cancer.

Why can't we play today?

I have an entire tattoo sleeve dedicated to all things Pink Floyd. You can bet that I was pretty thrown back by this news today. A great loss of a beautiful man that helped to make some of the best music my ears have ever heard.

I really like Pink Floyd and their music lives on!

I guess it just goes to show .. people battling the monster illness cancer is doubling! It used to be just 15 years ago when one rock star in a band died of cancer (Frank Zappa) and now 15 years later TWO rock stars in one band (Syd Barrett, Richard Wright) die of cancer.
