It happens from time to time...you have to take the good with the bad really. The first few months were real slow for my blog...and once the playoffs end...it will slow up a bit for a few weeks....before the draft...free agency and all that good stuff.

I noticed right before taxes were due in April, my stats were lower for about two weeks. Then it picked up again.
It does really fluctuate, and sometimes it's absolutely nothing to do with your content. Just that people are busier.
Don't lose heart! Just keep an eye on it. You might also try making yourself a little spreadsheet with monthly numbers totals. So that way if next year at the same time this happens, you'll be able to see if it's a trend or not.

ConfessingGirl, don't feel bad about the weekends-- Saturdays are notoriously low. (I do stats tracking as a part of my Real Job, so I can reassure you that major corporations see the same issues.)
I think people were out gardening on the weekend, or having barbeques or something. My Saturday was low, too. But Sundays pick up a little from there. -
PS- I'd like to hear from anyone here who was tracking their stats last summer. I hadn't launched until September, so I don't have stats for how things go during the summer.
Have you noticed MORE people online visiting your site during summer? Less? I know this will vary by subject, but it would be nice to get an idea. -
Interesting, I see the Tuesday and Thursday pick-up as well.
Evenings aren't bad for me, actually.
But Tuesdays are usually my spike unless someone sends out a link to a page as a mass email or something.
(Which seems to be happening today... I have NO idea why these people were all emailed to look at the Christmas decorations on my site today. It's not even "Christmas in July"!) -
I noticed something strange - when I write something I belive everyone would like to read and link to (book review, useful tool, etc.), that day my visits are below 30, and when I write something stupid and personal (shoping dissaster, personal thougts) they go trough the roof...
Visitors are strange, when you are blogger... (Dors cover

Don't worry about it.. just concentrate on your blog and blogging.. do it with passion rather than with the aim of getting "traffic"..
All the best! -
It's been 3 weeks since I started my blog. Results hasn't been good but like most of you out there, I will be thinking of new and interesting articles. Wish me luck.

You've got to give it more like 6 months before you can really know how successful you are. At least three months to evaluate what is working on your blog and what isn't. I've only been running my newest since the beginning of May and most of my time is spent doing promotion and networking to get established. The entry I do every day is often the result of 15 minutes of work, often just commenting on some sites I'd bookmarked on other days and sharing my thoughts about their content.
Stocktube makes a good point about promotion. You may see the same names at a bunch of sites, but networking isn't strictly about joining. You've got to pick a few places to be active and say intriguing or useful things to draw folks to your blog. That's more effective, in my experience, than just getting your avatar on 53 sites. On a few of them, you need to have a personality, too!

it's a cruel world out there ... millions of blogs competing for the same spectators ... i'm averaging 1.6 blog per day but my PR still remains at 4 ... it'll comes to a time that it doesn't matter if you blog once per week or once everyday because google still looks for some other factors such as backlinks - their formula assume you're perfect from all angles ...
so you need to balance between posting articles and promoting your blog (not to the extent of spamming, mind you) ... by the time you've a group of loyal readers, pressure will increase on you to keep these readers - so you need to continue posting ... you'll then find lesser time to do promotion and others - you need to be discipline, in short ...
just my opinion ... cheers -
Here is the site that lists a lot of memes going on out there.
